Herbie far too strong for struggling Seniors
Herbrandston (105 for 2) beat Pembs Seniors B (46 all out) by 59 runs:
Herbrandston got their new season off a to a great start as they easily accounted for a Pembs Seniors B who found it hard going as Herbie’s top three batsmen in Charlie Malloy, Morgan Britton and Atticus Finch all relished the chance of being able to go on the attack from the outset.
Rod Murphy was the first old-timer to taste success as he produced arguably the best delivery of the evening to shift the unlucky Rhys Power for a ‘golden duck’ but Dillon Lewis managed double figures and 14 year old Leon Hood, taking his dad Robbie’s place in the side was unbeaten as Herbie set a very challenging total.
Mike Williams was the pick of the Seniors’ bowling and Kerry Waters bowled four ‘dot balls’ on the trot to slow down Malloy in mid-stream but only Mark Davies ever stayed long with the bat as The Seniors were shot out for only 46 in 8.3 overs.
Rhys Power gained revenge as he grabbed two wickets for only seven runs alongside teenagers Lewis and Hood, who each claimed a wicket , and Morgan Britton, who only conceded five runs.

Charlie smashes new club to big score
Lawrenny (129 for 2) beat Pembroke B (83 for 2) by 46 runs
Charlie Arthur can destroy any bowling attack and his powerful stroke-play is going to be an asset as he made his indoor debut for Lawrenny and smashed four sixes and four fours in his two spells at the crease – taking only 14 balls to help his team to a big score against a Pembroke team that was much-changed from last season.
Charlie was joined by the Lewis brothers, Finley and Oscar, in reaching the retirement ceiling as Will Allen also managed double figures.
Dan Williams and Gareth Mitchell were the Pembroke wicket-takers and Williams scored 10 alongside good batting by Ollie Donohoe before he retired, as there were also double figures from Will Randell and ‘Mr Extras’.
But Pembroke were never able to maintain any sort of momentum against tight bowling from Will Allen, Finley Lewis and Taylor Lewis – and Charlie Malloy claimed both the Pembroke wickets to fall , although he did concede the most runs!

Newcomers Narberth make an impressive start
Narberth (131 for 5) beat Neyland B (79 for 5) by 52 runs
Narberth showed they should be a force to be reckoned with as the league’s newest team took on a weakened Neyland Second’s team and won with something to spare.
Their final tally of 131 for 5 owed much to Jordan Howell, who was undefeated on 44 at the finish from his two visits to the crease, initially joined by double figures by Lewis Hough before Loui Davies also retired and there were cameos from Llew Jones and Rhodri Dyer.
There was a wicket each for Charlie French, Dylan Keane, Martyn Lewis and Ethan Holmes – and Martyn Lewis and French were the pick of the Neyland batting as the former reached 24 before running out of overs but remaining not out.
There were 15 extras but Llew Jones led the Narberth attack as his 1 for 5 analysis, included a rare wicket maiden. He was joined by Dyer and Davies as miserly bowlers in a very strong debut.
*Narberth also showed a little ingenuity when the game had been held up for a little time and when the game ended, they formed a makeshift human crane that saw Llew Jones, who doubles up as a very good rugby player, eventually managing to stretch to save losing the ball!*
Narberth Batting:
Jordan Howell 44*, Lewis Hough 12, Loui Davies 33*, Llew Jones 19, Rhodri Dyer 16
Neyland B Bowling:
Charlie French 1-26, Martyn Lewis 1-19, Ethan Holmes 1-34
