Football festival is on the ball!
Hundreds of people turned out to take part or watch a disability football festival in Pembrokeshire at the weekend as local team the Cleddau Warriors played host to the South Wales Disability Football Festival at the Phoenix Centre in Goodwick.
Over 90 players took part in the day-long event with competitions for under 12s, under 16s and novices. Swansea Bravehearts, Bridgend Herons and Neath Port Talbot Dragons joined hosts Cleddau Warriors on the superb Phoenix Park pitch – home ground to Goodwick United.
Certificates and medals galore
Rob Franklin, regional development co-ordinator for the Welsh Football Trust, presented certificates to all the players and fair play medals - sponsored by Valero - to:

Angela Miles, disability sport development officer for Sport Pembrokeshire – the sports development arm of Pembrokeshire County Council – said the standard of play had been impressive.
“I'd like to thank the Phoenix Centre for the use of their facility and Goodwick United for the use of their pitch,†she said.
