Pembrokeshire Special Needs gymnasts in Poole
Pembrokeshire Special Needs Gymnastics Club recently travelled to Poole in Dorset for the annual Poole Open competition where the gymnasts competed against clubs from Wales, England, Ireland and Jersey, with very high standards of performance seen across all the age ranges and disciplines.
Once again the gymnasts of Pembrokeshire did not disappoint, returning home with 11 gold, 10 silver and 6 bronze medals.
The females competed on three apparatus (floor, beam and vault) and the male competitors competed on floor, parallel bars and vault.

Adele Bevan – 3 gold medals.
Jamie Bevan – 3 gold medals.
Ffion Booth – 1 bronze medal.
Lizzie Booth – 1 bronze medal and 1 silver.
Darren Briggs – 1 bronze medal.
Alex Davies – 1 gold medal.
Leon Davies – 1 gold medal and 1 silver.
Finlay Daley – 2 bronze medals.
Bobby Gray – 1 gold medal and 1 silver.
Lydia James – 3 silver medals.
Connor James – 2 gold medals and 1 silver.
Morgan James – 1 bronze medal and 1 silver.
Alex Phillips – 2 silver medals.
A huge thank you must go to the coaches that gave up their time voluntarily to coach and support the gymnasts, also to the parents for the support they give the club.
