DIVISION ONE:
Cresselly gain vital victory in top-three clash
Burton 102 for 6 (8) lost to Cresselly 120 for 6 (18) for 18 runs
Cresselly’s final tally owed much to excellent batting by Lucy Johnson and Ffion Ashman alongside talented young players Ava Midgley and Mari Cole, so that although Llawella Scale, Olivia James and Finola England bowled well the rest of their attack was unable to stop the visitors maintaining their high run-rate.
Finola Scale and Rhiannon Morgan were in their usual run-gathering mode for Burton before retiring and only Becca Barton stayed long of their remaining batters as Lucy Johnson and especially Lauren Davies were very accurate for Cresselly - and in the final analysis Cresselly deserved their victory!
Cresselly Batting: Lucy Johnson 25*, Ava Midgley 28*, Ffion Ashman 19, Mari Cole 15

Regular run-getters Cath Orton, Lucy Patterson and Tracey Chandra then took Tish close to their target and then extras also helped them reach their target, despite another accurate spell from teenager Poppy Price and the experienced Katie Griffiths.
