Hakin United agonisingly lost 3-4 against Holywell Town in the quarter final of the FAW Trophy played at the Obs.
Nicky Woodrow scored a powerful header that gave the Vikings the lead, the Wellmen fought back with goals by Phil Lloyd and Matt Harvey, the Vikings were awarded a contentious penalty for hand ball, Woodrow sent the keeper the wrong way to level matters at 2-2 at half time.
Midway through the second period Justin ‘Skinny’ Harding scored a brilliant diving header that gave the Vikings a 3-2 lead, the north Wales outfit who play two tiers above their Pembrokeshire rivals were reduced to ten-men as Sam Jones was sent off.
But the visitors rallied and equalised eight minutes from normal time through Jack Darcy, then smack on full time, Lloyd bagged his second goal of the tie, but more importantly it was the winner that cruelly dumped the unlucky Vikings out of the cup.
There were six games played in the First Division of the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League.
Angle drew 1-1 at home against second from bottom West Dragons. Scott Richards gave the homesters the lead, Ashley Prior equalised for the visitors to salvage a point.
Goodwick United drew 3-3 at Phoenix Park against Narberth as Rhys Dalling (2) and Jonny Horgan netted for the home outfit, Callum O’Connell (2) and Tony Evans replied for the visitors that secured a draw.
Merlins Bridge won 3-0 at home against struggling Johnston, Nathan Greene (2) and James Skudder scored for the Wizards.
Monkton Swifts narrowly lost 2-3 at home against Tenby. Blake James and Daniel Scourfield netted for the Swifts, but the visitors secured the points with goals from brothers Sam Christopher (2) and Jack Christopher.
Pennar Robins won 6-3 against St Clears at Bush Camp, Sam Southcott (2), Jimmy Walker, Ben Steele, Adam John and Richard Hughes found the back of the net for the Robins, whilst Sean Seymour Davies, Jack Jones and Steve Thomas scored for the Saints.
Bottom of the table Saundersfoot Sports lost 0-5 at home against Herbrandston.
