Despite horrendous weather that hit the county at the weekend, there was still a lot of football played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League and re-arranged West Wales Intermediate Cup games that went ahead.

Starting in the First Division, Angle lost 0-5 at home against Johnston where Adam Hawkins, Joe John, Luke Hayward, Scott Murray and Joey George found the back of the net for The Tigers.

Milford United narrowly lost 0-1 against champions Hakin United at a windswept Marble Hall. Nicky Woodrow scored the Vikings’ winning goal in a keenly contested derby.

Pennar Robins lost 0-2 against Narberth at Bush Camp. Tony Evans and Dylan blain both scored goals in the second half to secure the points for The Bluebirds.

St Clears drew 1-1 with Carew in a basement battle. Dean Morris gave The Rooks the lead with a 25-yard thunderbolt of a shot, but five minutes from the end, Sean Seymour Davies equalised with a close range header for The Saints.

The biggest margin of victory was at the Clicketts, where Tenby convincingly won 7-0 against Herbrandston. Striker Jordan Richards bagged four goals in the first half, and strike partner Sam Christopher scored a brilliant hat trick in the second half.

In the West Wales Intermediate Cup 2nd round, Gorseinon won 3-1 at home against Monkton Swifts, this cup-tie had been postponed due to the weather for five weeks, so it was a classic case of sixth time lucky!

There were a number of clubs from Pembrokeshire involved in the West Wales Intermediate Cup 3rd round on Saturday.

Starting at Phoenix Park, where Goodwick United won 3-0 against Penclawdd. Kieran O’Brien, Rob Morgans and Adam Raymond scored the crucial goals for the homesters.

Plough Colts proved too strong for Camrose who were thrashed 6-0; Ystradgynlais versus Solva didn’t go ahead as the visitors could not field a team so Ystradgynlais go through to the next round.

Ynystawe Athletic beat West Dragons 5-2 after extra time. Jamie Palmer and Jake Luby scored for the Dragons who led 2-1 with only five minutes to go in normal time the homesters equalised and forced the tie into extra time. Jordan Prosser 3, Marc Hulme and Andrew Stokes scored the vital goals to send The Dragons crashing out of the competition.
