Henry Durrant and hat-trick hero Justin Harding scored for NeylandThe second round of the Senior Cup took place on Saturday, and there were not any shocks as eight teams have reached the last eight of the competition.

Holders Goodwick United won 5-1 at Carew, bagging the goals for the visitors were Adam Raymond (2), Steven Dockerty, Jonny Horgan and Ben John; Nielson Cole scored the Rooks solitary goal.

Last season’s finalists Hakin United thrashed fellow First Division rivals Tenby 6-0 at home, Nicky Woodrow scored a hat-trick alongside further goals by Ben Steele, Adam John and Ryan Wilson.

Monkton Swifts hammered Pembroke Boro 7-1 at Monkton Lane. Swifts goal scorers were a brace each for Dan Scourfield, Ben Adams and Thomas Powell, Martin Carroll also scored for the homesters, and Phil John netted for the Boro.

Prendergast Villa gained a comfortable 3-0 victory against Kilgetty at home, Jake Davies scored twice alongside a strike by Josh Wilment.

Solva won an entertaining tussle 5-3 at home against Lawrenny. Joe Elliott struck a superb hat-trick for Solva, with Morgan Elliott and Liam Thomas also finding the back of the net. Owen James, Phil Cole and an own goal netted for the visitors.

Ben John crosses the ball into the box for Goodwick at CarewSt Ishmaels narrowly lost 3-4 at home against second division rivals Clarbeston Road. Adam Davies, Andy Howells and a penalty by Daniel Flynn scored for Tish, while a stunning hat-trick by Richard Bevans and a solitary goal by Jason Griffiths saw them into the quarter finals.

West Dragons narrowly overcame fellow first division Lamphey 3-2 at home. Matthew Price, Jordan Williams and an own goal saw the Dragons to victory despite Daniel Kitts and Billy Davis scoring for the unlucky visitors.

There were also three games played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League on Saturday.

Johnston lost 4-7 at home against Angle. Connor Willis scored a terrific hat-trick for Angle and Gavin Wickland, Simon Lewis, Nick Willis and an own goal secured the points for the visitors. Ryan Doyle, Ryan Codd, Jamie Picton and Liam Boswell scored for the Tigers.

Milford United suffered a heavy 1-6 defeat against Merlins Bridge at Marble Hall. Joe Leahy (3), Simon Thomas (2) and Will Haworth scored for the Wizards, and Chris Davies scored the Robins’ only goal.

Neyland secured a comfortable 4-0 win against Narberth at home. Striker Justin Harding scored a superb hat-trick and Henry Durrant scored a stunning free-kick for the Nomads.
