Kilgetty gained a narrow win at Clarbeston Road

New boys Kilgetty gained a slender hard-fought victory at Clarbeston Road in a high scoring affair.
 
This was Kilgetty’s second win in a row since being promoted last season whilst Clarby Road have just a point from three games.
 
With barely eight minutes on the clock Ben John opened the scoring for The Road, however, it was short lived as two minutes later Adam Johns equalised for the visitors.
 
On 20 minutes Josh Bevan added his side’s second before Richard Cope netted the third, on stroke of half time John pulled one back for the hosts as the score read 2-3 to the visitors at the interval.
 
The second half was keenly contested and the visitors extended their lead in the 89th minute through a Rheinallt George own goal, deep in stoppage time substitute Richard Bevan netted for The Road.

Sports upset Rooks for first win of season

Fishguard Sports came from behind to secure their first win of the season against Carew at Tregroes.
 
The Sports had lost their opening two games, but this was a case of third time lucky for Phil Jones’ men.
 
In the ninth minute the visitors took the lead as Jordan Richards made no mistake from the spot.
 
Barely a minute late and The Sports equalised as Ieuan Llewellyn set-up Gary Delaney who hit the back of the net.
 
In the 19th minute Danny Hopkin was on target with his side’s second, which proved crucial as there was no more goals scored for the remainder of the match.

Greene hat-trick secures the points for Goodwick

 

Goodwick United 3 – St Clears 2

 
Nathan Greene grabbed a superb hat-trick which earned Goodwick United a hard-fought victory against promoted St Clears at the Phoenix Ground.
 
Chris O’Sullivan’s Goodwick troops started brightly as Rob Morgans set up Greene to take an early lead, but on the stroke of half time The Saints equalised through Will Evans.
 
In the 54th minute the Phoenix Lads restored the lead as Dalling set up Greene for his second, but it didn’t last long as substitute Morgan Evans drilled past James Gwilt to level matters.
 
However, in the 70th minute the hosts conjured a winner when Jonny Horgan played in Greene who finished coolly to secure the points.

As the score line suggests this was totally one-way traffic for Hakin United who easily overcame St Ishmaels at the Obs.
 
Scott Davies’ team led 4-2 at the break, then in the second period banged in a further seven goals without reply.
 
The hosts opened the scoring in the fifth minute as Ashley Bevan profited from Jay Power’s assist, but the visitors levelled matters as Ed Richards struck for Tish.
Minutes later Bevan banged in the second, plus Brennan Devonald added a third, both assisted by Leon Luby. Camron Thomas added the fourth before Adam Kingsbeer struck for the visitors who trailed 4-2 at the break.
 
The second period was one way traffic, Ryan Wilson drilled home the fifth, Mark Jones added the sixth, then the introduction of prolific scorer Nicky Woodrow from the bench saw the ace marks man added four goals un space of 23 minutes to put The Vikings 10-2 ahead. Shane Walsh, who also came off the bench struck the back of the net for the eleventh.

Monkton Swifts returned to winning ways with an emphatic victory against Neyland at Monkton Lane.
 
The Swifts led 4-0 at the break, the second half was far closer, but on the day Stuart Lewis’ Swifts outfit were excellent value for the points.
 
In the fifth minute Declan Carroll set-up Ben Steele who bagged the opener, two minutes later, goal scorer Steele teed-up Jason Finnegan who added the second.
 
On ten minutes Steele struck the third, thanks to a Declan Carroll assist, on stroke of half time Jason Finnegan scored the fourth.
 
The Nomads contested better in the second period, but the Swifts added a fifth goals through Martyn Carroll.

On fire Finlay bagged two goals in the 10th and 13th minutes to give The Wizards a dream start.
 
On the hour mark Phil Thompson pulled one back for the Robins, but the visitors finished strongly as Matthew D’Ivry set-up Joe Leahy for his side’s third.
 
On 80 minutes Alfie Stotter added the fourth, four minutes from full time Finlay bagged his hat-trick to secure the Wizards back-to-back wins.
