Kilgetty finish strongly at troubled Tish

Lloyd Hughes - scored twice in big win for Kilgetty at St IshmaelsSt Ishmaels suffered another heavy defeat, this time at the hands of ruthless Kilgetty at the Sports Ground.
 
Tish are rooted bottom of the table as Kilgetty put in a strong second half showing to pick up their third win of the season as they sit fifth in the table.
 
The visitors led 2-1 at half time, Ryan Coleman gave Kilgetty an early lead which was cancelled out by a Joel Morgan strike for Tish.
 
In the 34th minute the visitors were awarded a penalty that Lloyd Hughes buried from 12 yards.
 
Seven minutes after the break Mark Jones got his side’s third, but again Tish fought back as substitute Dylan Ninnis found the back of the net.
 
However, Kilgetty finished this game strongly and scored further goals through skipper Josh Bevan with the fourth, Mark Davies and Lloyd Hughes got a brace each as they led 6-2, but they were not finished there as Richard Cop and Adam Johns struck the seventh and eighth goals, respectively.

Keefe splendid double sinks out of sorts Wizards

 

Merlins Bridge 0 – Rockspur 4

 
Swansea Senior League Division One  outfit Rockspur proved too strong for Merlins Bridge to dela with at the Pembrokeshire Sports Village.
 
Impressive Rockspur led 3-0 at the break and they added another goal shortly after the interval to easily progress in the competition.
 
The Pembrokeshire Football League Division 1 leaders conceded first half goals from  Ryan Hurlow, Sam Keefe, and Luke Chappell, plus shortly after the break Keefe banged in his second of the tie.
 
The Wizards started brightly but fell behind in the 21st minute through a cracking goal scored by Hurlow, the 25-year-old showed good turn of pace down the left, cut in and struck a terrific effort which flew into the roof of James Dickson’s net.
 
In the 27th minute Rockspur were awarded a penalty as Wizards’ defender Chris Ormond committed a foul and up stepped Keefe to comfortably stroke ball past Dickson.
 
Six minutes later Luke Chappell added his side’s third as the hosts protested for offside in the build-up.
 
Just before the break Keefe saw his close-range powerful header crash against the crossbar, when the striker should have scored.
 
Five minutes after the break a quick breakaway led to Keefe making amends as he hit the target with his side’s fourth, beautifully curled home a sweet left footed finish to wrap up proceedings.

Referee David Davies. Picture by Martin JonesNeyland slipped to a disappointing West Wales Cup exit at the expense of a clinical Ragged School at the Athletic Ground.
 
The Swansea Senior League currently sit top of division two and they were always going to be a handful for the Nomads.
 
There was a brace each for Ragged’s Scott Harris and William Davies plus Delano Tortorella struck to secure a safe cup passage.
 
With barely two minutes on the clock the visitors were awarded a penalty which Harris buried.
 
On the 16-minute mark the visitors added their second of the tie when Daniel Hall set-up Harris who finished coolly past Patrick Hannon.
 
In the 35th minute the visitors got the third as Jordan Brown teed-up William Davies who made no mistake from inside the box.
 
Ragged goalkeeper Jack Williams pulled off two excellent saves to deny Nomads’ Max Bowman-Davies and Mike Chandler, the hosts also rattled the crossbar.
 
Three down at half time the Nomads still created chances as Bowman-Davies and Aidan Rees were denied by Williams.
 
Davies was on target with the fourth and Tortorella was on target with a fifth to secure their place in the next round, the Nomads were left to rue their chances at the final whistle.
