Sports hit for six by derby rivals

Goodwick United struck six goals without reply against Fishguard Sports to secure the derby bragging rights in this clash played at Trecoed.
 
Chris O’Sullivan’s Goodwick outfit dominated this north county tussle as they led 2-0 at half time and followed up with further four goals after the break.
 
Man of the match Jonny Horgan set up the opener in the 39th minute for skipper Scott Delaney, on the stroke of the interval the goal scorer set up James Bryan for the second of the afternoon.
 
Three minutes after the break Horgan teed-up Rhys Jones who added the third, midfielder Luke Hayward set-up with Horgan for goals number four and five, in the 77th minute Rhys Jones bagged his second of the game to complete the rout.

Vikings are too hot for Swifts

Hakin United comfortably overcame Monkton Swifts at the Obs.
 
The Vikings led 1-0 at the break thanks to a fine Ashley Bevan volley, six minutes after the interval Mark Jones buried the second, Kieran King scored a cracking third plus Justin Harding added the fourth.
 
The Vikings opened the scoring in the 28th minute as Adam John’s cross fell to skipper Bevan who controlled and volleyed into the back of the net from 15 yards out.
 
Six minutes after the break Mark Jones scored with a neat far post finish after good play between Bevan and Camron Thomas set up the opportunity.
 
Teenager King scored a cracking third, Leon Luby did the ground work before he released teenager King who broke clear and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.
 
Scott Davies’ Vikings were awarded a penalty that substitute Justin Harding crashed against the crossbar, but the veteran striker soon made amends as he drilled in the fourth after good build up play that involved Harding and Luby.

D’vry double sees Wizards top for Christmas

Matthew D’Ivry scored twice to help league leaders Merlins Bridge defeat a diligent Pennar Robins outfit.
 
There were no goals in the opening 45 minutes, but the Wizards gradually got on top and were rewarded as D’Ivry opened the scoring a minute after the interval, substitute Lee Hudgell made the assist.
 
The impressive D’Ivry set-up Will Evans for the second on the hour mark, then D’Ivry added the third which was set-up by Henry Thomas to earn his team their eleventh win of the campaign.

St Ishmaels 1 – Neyland 1

 
St Ishmaels came from behind to secure a draw against Neyland in this bottom end of the table clash.
 
There were not goals in the first half in a nip and tuck game at the Recreation Ground.
 
In the 55th minute The Nomads broke the deadlock through 17-year-old substitute Fletcher Picton.
 
That goal looked at one stage it would be enough to nick the points, but full credit to Tish they dug deep and equalised through Joel Morgan.
