Reigning champions Hakin United proved on the day they had too much quality and fire power for visiting Neyland to cope with at the Obs.
 
It’s going to be an extremely busy month for Scott Davies’ Vikings who are currently fifteen points behind leaders Goodwick and have six games in hand.
 
The Vikings led 2-0 at the break as Adam John’s ball over the top saw Shane Walsh run clear to score with a composed finish, on stroke of half time, Nicky Woodrow headed home Leon Luby’s cross.
 
After the break the Vikings continued to control matters as Woodrow swivelled in the box to score his side’s third, again another assist by the lively Luby on the right.
 
Gavin Rowlands’ Nomads outfit were constantly put on the back foot as the Vikings poured forward, Woodrow bagged his hat-trick for the fourth, then the timely introduction of vastly experienced substitute Justin ‘Skinny’ Harding who scored twice in the 76th and 82nd minutes.
 
The visitors were reduced to ten-man as defender Ben Fairbairn was sent off, in the 93rd minute the Vikings were awarded a penalty which Harding confidently despatched for his hat-trick past keeper Peter Blain.

Robins survive as poor Saints relegated

Phil Thompson scored for Pennar RobinsThree unanswered second half goals secured first division status for mighty relieved Pennar Robins as St Clears stay rock bottom and relegation bound.
 
It’s been a tough season for the Saints who have only picked up one win from nineteen starts, but is hasn’t been plain sailing for the Robins who picked up their fifth win from twenty games.
 
No goals in the first half in a tense tussle, all that changed in the 58th minute as keeper Daniel James was credited with an unfortunate own goal.
 
This opportunity spurred on the visitors who added a second three minutes from the end as Kieran Smith found the back of the net, in stoppage time Phil Thompson bagged a third for his side.

On fire league leaders Goodwick rout derby rivals

Title seekers Goodwick United routed derby rivals Fishguard Sports with a sumptuous second half display at Phoenix Park.
 
Chris O’Sullivan’s league leaders only led 1-0 at half time thanks to manager’s nephew Sion O’Sullivan scoring in the 37th minute.
 
However, the second period was controlled by the Phoenix Lads who scored an impressive further seven goals without reply to stun Phil Jones’ Sports outfit.
 
The goals came thick and fast as Will Howarth scored twice in as many minutes, just past the hour mark saw striker score a brace in two minutes which put them 4-0 ahead.
 
The Sports’ players heads dropped as Goodwick dominated in every department, substitute Adam Hawkins was on target with the sixth.
 
Central midfielder Rhys Jones added further goals in the 75th and 87th minutes to complete the rout.

No goals, but this clash was far from dull between Monkton Swifts and St Ishmaels at Monkton Lane.
 
The Swifts are sitting fourth in the table with three games left to play, whilst Tish are precariously sitting second from bottom, one point behind Fishguard Sports, both sides just have one more game to play.
 
In the 68th minute the Swifts were awarded a penalty which Dylan Davies missed much to the delight of Tish who will fight to the end to try to resist being relegated.
