Viv leads great day for South Pembs Ladies
Ladies captain Viv James greatly appreciated the support of players who attended in her Charity Day at South Pembrokeshire Golf Club recently in aid of Hounds for Heroes, especially to members of other golf clubs.
The grand total of £1,385 was raised, and has been forwarded to the Hounds for Heroes charity, who provide specially-trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled men and women of the UK Armed Forces and Civilian Emergency Services.
She was supported on the day by members, without whom the day could not have run as smoothly, and was grateful to them, and especially to The Old Kings Arms Hotel, The Courtyard Deli, The Room, Celtic Wine, Wisebuys and Hair Design for their generous donations and raffle prizes, with special mention of Mainport Engineering Ltd, who generously donated £200 to the charity fund.
The day was warm and dry and the course in wonderful condition so there was no excuse for bad scores. Prizes of M & S vouchers and bottles of wine were awarded to the winners.
