Emmy Milne is Welsh Novice Artistic Floor Champion

Emmy Milne, Katie Crimmins, Lauren Watts, Abbie MacDougall and Josie Dodd recently competed on behalf of the West Area in the Welsh Novice Gymnastics Champions, held at the National Sports Centre in Cardiff.

Emmy Milne returned from this event after being crowned the Welsh Floor champion, a  fantastic achievement! Emmy also came 5th on vault and 7th overall as well as picking up a bronze medal for her contribution to the team total. Katie Crimmins surpassed all expectations and clinched a bronze medal on vault, 6th position on bars and finished in joint 7th overall position with Emmy. Katie was also part of the West Wales team who finished in 3rd.

Lauren Watts and Abbie MacDougall both also performed extremely well on vault and were positioned 2nd and 5th respectively. Abbie and Lauren, along with Josie Dodd, were part of the 10/11 years team that were positioned 4th out of Wales, which was a remarkable achievement.

Head coach Rebecca Jones commented.
“I was really pleased with how well all the girls performed, considering the standard of the competition. The gymnasts were not only representing Haverfordwest but were also flying the flag for Pembrokeshire and West Wales, which was an honour for them all.”
