The 'fab five' are Pembrokeshire gymnastic stars
A recent Women's' Artistic gymnastics competition was held at the City of Swansea Gymnastics club where the fab five of Seren Rowland-Higgins, Scarlet Morris, Ffion Roberts, Lucy Jenkins and Isla Davies all performed some brilliant routines throughout the day and their hard work was rewarded with various medals.
This competition is designed to showcase the remarkable talent of some of the best gymnasts in West Wales and Seren, Scarlet, Ffion and Lucy competed in the elite level 6 category and the results were as follows:
Seren Rowland-Higgins came, 1st on Range of Conditioning, 2nd on Floor, 2nd on Beam and 2nd on Vault and therefore gained the overall silver medal with a massive score of 61.30- A FANTASTIC RESULT!
Ffion Roberts came 3rd on Bars and overall she came 5th with the score of 56.30!
Lucy Jenkins came 3rd on Vault and was awarded 6th position overall with a score of 56.15. Scarlet Morris came 5th on vault and range and conditioning and overall finished in 7th position out of a very strong group of gymnasts. Seren, Ffion, Scarlet and Lucy are now currently training for their forthcoming Welsh squad trial, which is due to take place in two weeks time. So keep up the fantastic work girls, your coach Jadie Edwards is so proud of you all!
Isla Davies competed later that day in the Intermediate challenge cup section. Isla picked up bronze on vault, bars, floor and beam as well as the overall bronze title. Well done Isla- great effort.
