Eddie's Pembrokeshire Snooker League:

David Malloy put on a display of sound potting to star in the final of the Hubert Townsend Shield at the Manchester Club.

The division two pairs final was a best of five frames affair, with David partnering Gareth Barrett, both representing the British Legion. Their opponents were father and son duo Colin and Darren McCarthy (Cons).

Tense affair

The first frame was a tense affair, with all the players getting their share of pots and mistakes but Gareth cleaned up the high scoring colours to take the frame for the Legion.

David hit form in the second frame, compiling three small breaks, and the Legion were 2-nil up in no time.

The third frame continued in similar vein, with David scoring at nearly every visit to the table, with the Cons pair having no answer to his prowess before the Legion duo took the silverware with a 3-0 scoreline.

The referees for the evening were Malcolm King and Howard Webber.
