Eddie's Pembs Snooker League:
Carlsberg Cup Division Two Singles
A small but appreciative audience were treated to an exhibition of potting by Jason Hackett (Manchester Club) as he pouched the Calsberg Cup at the British Legion Club.
Playing in the division two singles final, Jason was in fantastic form, and all his opponent Denzil Davies (Balfour) could do was stand and watch.
In a best of five frames final, Jason started the first frame with small breaks of 13 and 18, and was soon 40-odd points up – and after Jason potted the majority of the colours, Denzil conceded the first frame.
In the second frame Denzil was first in with two reds and blacks. But Jason took control again with his next shot to start a good break of 22, and after continuing to score freely, won the second frame.
The third frame continued in the same vein, with Jason applying the pressure in a break of 23, a lead he maintained to win the frame and match.
The match referees were Howard Webber and Richard Brock.
