A 100-point tally by Viv Price helped his team win snooker’s KO Cup at the Milford Haven Conservative Club last week.
 Ton-up Price seals cup victory
Price put on a master class of snooker, compiling exactly 100 points, but his biggest break was only 12 but his hit-and-run tactics had his nervous Balfour Club opponent Richard Thomas in all sorts of bother and he had no answer to the Manchester Club cueist’s safety play.

It all started well for the Balfour Club with former county champion Terry McBride gaining a 19-point victory over the experienced Brett John before Anthony Griffiths kept up the momentum with a 36-point win over Justin Davies.

But Price turned the game on its head in the third frame and his team mate Jamie Greenish kept it going in the next frame with a 50-point win which included  breaks of 22 and 33 against an out of sorts Raymond Hoare.

With a 50-odd lead going into the last frame the Balfour Club’s Simon Pearce tried his best to claw back the deficit which included a contribution of 29. But the experienced Adrian Mathias kept the scoreboard ticking over to see Manchester Club to KO Cup victory.
