Two lifters from SAW have recently been selected to compete for Wales in the Junior Battle, an international event with many countries from around Europe entering youth lifters, to be held in Austria end of May.
Selection for this competition demanded a very high standard with only the top two ranked lifters from Wales in each age group being selected, with Chloe Hood selected at the under15 age group and Niamh Roach in the under17s.
Both athletes train at Strength Academy Wales, a non-profit Social Enterprise based at STP Sports Centre, Haverfordwest.
