Harrison-Allen Bowl Umpires:
Trefor Evans - Aged 61 - Retired Head Teacher
Trefor is one of the most experienced and respected umpires in the county who will be officiating at his third Bowl Final. He played over 20 years as a medium-pace bowler for Whitland, whom he has also served so well as an official. A former County Club chairman and still involved as Immediate Past Chairman, Trefor has also done yeoman work with the Pembrokeshire Association of Cricket Umpires & Scorers as their Hon Secretary and Training Officer for new umpires, something he really does well at. It is a certainty that his third final is due reward for his very active involvement in the game.
Steve Blowes - Aged 61 - Retired Police Inspector
This will be Steve’s first final after taking up umpiring seriously when he finished as a wicket-keeper/batsman with Camrose, where he was the Hon Secretary and still spends time-aplenty as groundsman. He played cricket up to four times a week during his time in London and enjoyed every moment of it. Steve is now in his second season as Hon Secretary of the Pembroke County Cricket Club and readily admits that it is an interesting job which he is now getting his teeth into, with the support and hard work of his committee and fellow officers. Naturally looking forward to his big day and, like Trefor, adopts a quiet but no-nonsense approach on the pitch.
