Two Haverfordwest school pupils have been rewarded for their sporting efforts.
Sir Thomas Picton School students James Price and Sophia Issac were given signed Scarlets shirts for their attendance at after school sport sessions.
The shirts have been signed by all Scarlets’ first team players including Welsh Internationals - Scott Williams, Rhys Priestland, Liam Williams and British Lion Jonathan Davies.
Superb consistency
Both Year 9 pupils attended over 100 5x60 sessions over the last school year, taking part in activities such as cricket, football, badminton, basketball and table tennis.
James also represented the school in 5x60 basketball and boys hockey tournaments while Sophia played for the school in girls cricket and table tennis tournaments.
Dan’s delighted
5x60 Officer Dan Bellis said both pupils had shown tremendous dedication to attending a variety of 5x60 Clubs at both lunchtime and after school, and thoroughly deserved their prizes.
5x60 is a Sport Wales initiative to encourage more young people to participate in sport and physical activity and is managed by Sport Pembrokeshire - the Sports Development service of Pembrokeshire County Council.
