Narberth led 9-8 at the half way stage of their match at Bridgend Athletic thanks to three well-struck penalties from outside half Ianto Griffiths as Steve Lewis landed an early penalty for the Athletic and Simon Mustoe grabbed a 35th minute try.
Lewis added two more penalties, one either side of a try by Nick Gale for Narberth to tie things up at 14-all but then Gruff Davies and Sam Treharne crossed for the homesters alongside another Lewis penalty. Narberth had the final word with a James Russell try but it was the Athletic who won as the Otters now face an even tougher challenge next Saturday as they entertain runaway league leaders Ebbw Vale at the Lewis Lloyd Ground.

Whitland went down to defeat against Carmarthen Athletic as they conceded too many penalties and paid the ultimate price as Jack Wilson stuck six of them between the uprights and over the bar.
The only minor consolation for the Borderers was the fact that they scored the only two tries of the match. They trailed 6-5 at the interval after taking an early led with a good try by flanker Rhydian Davies after good work by outstanding No 8 Matthew Clark.
Their second try was scored by scrum half Daf Evans with a typical snipe but Wilson kept finding the target on a regular basis. Whitland now finish their campaign with a home match against Builth Wells on Wednesday evening.

Division Three (West):

Haverfordwest finished their campaign on a down-beat note with defeat at Pontyberem, who still finished a place below the Blues despite this win.
The Blues trailed 13-0 at the interval as Ponty opened their account through a try by former Narberth No 8 and now Pontyberem coach Wayne Williams to go with a Mike Sauro conversion and Matthew Rowe drop goal, plus a penalty by Sauro.
In a tight second half the only score came from a try by home outside half
Nico Setaro, the former Whitland player who has been with Pontyberem for the season.

Pembroke Dock Harlequins battled really hard against promotion-seeking Cefneithin at Bierspool but despite a late comeback they had to settle for a bonus point for finishing within seven points of their opponents.
Cefneithin built up an early 21-0 lead as they had tries by centre Jonathan Morgan, outside half Richard Watts and prop Carl Pritchard, all converted by Watts before the Quins responded with a try by second row Luke Murray which Barry Parsons converted.
Cefneithin sealed a bonus point for scoring four tries as Morgan claimed his second try but in a grandstand finish the Quins gad excellent tries from Jake Newman and Joe Powell, both converted by Parsons before they ran out of time.
The Quins now round off their campaign at home to Pontyates on Saturday, hoping to maintain their second half form from this match.

Pembroke completed an excellent season with a 41-24 victory at Penygroes – no further details are available.
