The Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru were once again winners, for the second year running, when the Pembrokeshire Schools Rugby Union presented them with a cheque for £200.
The young players had raised the money through sponsorship at the annual New Year’s Day Swim in Saundersfoot and presented it to committee member Judith Griffiths at their annual charity and fundraising event at the Wolfscastle County Hotel, when the guest speakers were all from Pembrokeshire - former Welsh International Jonathon Thomas, WRU Elite Coach Development Manager Geraint John and current international Rob Evans, together with Bill Carne, doing the compering role. The other charity to benefit was Motor Neurone Disease.
Picture receiving the cheque from Jonathan Thomas and Jonathan Llewhellin from Pembrokeshire Schools Rugby, Judith Griffiths thanked the Schools Rugby Union for their generosity and continued support for the work that is being undertaken to both raise awareness and obtain equipment in relation to a disease that affects 1 in 8 of Welshmen and is claiming 550 lives annually.
