Joel grabs try trio as Young Otters’ pack power pays off

Narberth Youth and their counterparts from Tenby United are renowned for playing good rugby and this was no exception with play that entertained a large crowd before the Young Otters emerged victors with a final score of 43-12.
 
Tenby fought well but were unable to stem the relentless pressure applied by the home side but still managed to score tries of their own by Oscar Miles and Max James, one converted by James.
Narberth certainly held the edge up front, with hard-running prop Joel Davies to the fore as he scored three tries. Iestyn Comey continued his great start at No 8 for Narberth with two tries.
 
Bradley Cramb and hooker Harley Young also scored a try apiece with 2 conversions by Shay Norcross and a further 2 from Brad Cramb.
 
 

Wood’s triple helps set up Crymych victory

Crymych and Llangwm contest at the lineoutIestyn Wood - three tries for Crymych YouthThree tries by powerful No 8 Iestyn Wood helped Crymych Youth gain a comfortable victory over a gritty Llangwm side which never shirked a tackle or took a backward step – but were unable to resist the pressure exerted up front.
 
Wood viewed with prop Jac Delaney for the ‘man of the match’ award as he also claimed a try and formed a formidable front row with Ptolemy Alleyne and Rhys Jones, with Deian Davies also on the try sheet, plus all five conversions from No 10 Gruff Edwards – whilst Luke Allsworth came on and played with real maturity for a 16 year old.
 
For the Young Wasps, outside half Harry Makepeace scored their try, converted by Iwan Davies alongside a penalty – whilst Dom Asson really impressed with his commitment, Aaron John showed outstanding defence and Seth Willington worked tirelessly in all aspects of the game to show positive points for Llangwm coach Daf Bowen to work on.
 
 

Young Borderers claim success in exciting contest

 

Pembroke Youth 23 - Whitland Youth 31

 
Pembroke Youth and their counterparts from Whitland proved a great deal of entertaining rugby at Crickmarren before the visitors claimed victory in a game where the Young Scarlets were in contention until the final whistle.
 
Whitland ran in five tries via Toby Rees, Lewis Jones, Ieuan Hill, Jack Worthing and Luc Owen with twins Tyler (2) and Lennon Reynolds (1) slotting conversions.
 
Pembroke battled hard and were rewarded with tries from Liam Topp, Ethan Brown and Owen Turner, with a conversion by Jack Nicholas, who also landed a penalty, as did skipper TJ Jones.
 
In the final analysis The Young Borderers were just about good value for victory but both coaches certainly have some useful players to work with in their ranks!
