There was great joy for one of our teams in the above competition as Whitland won really well at Cwmgors but Haverfordwest went down to defeat at Pontyberem, despite battling hard.
Cwmgors Youth 5 Whitland Youth 55
Whitland Youth showed what a strong team they have become as they made the journey to Cwmgors, took control from the outset and their reward is a home tie in the next round against Llangennech.
Leading the way in an excellent all-round team performance were Jack Worthing, Lewis Jones and Jake Williams, who all scored two tries.
Other tries came from Oli Bujega, Dan Howells and Tom Blake, who was making his debut after just starting out in the game - and he also landed a conversion alongside four successful kicks by Lennon Reynolds.
Pontyberem Youth 40 Haverfordwest Youth 24
Haverfordwest played some good rugby at Pontyberem that will have pleased coaches Steve Parry and Andrew Thicker but their experienced opponents were just too strong for them in the final analysis.
Live-wire flanker Logan Young caught the eye with his commitment and speed about the field and his reward was a try brace and two conversions to earn the Young Blues man of the match award.
Outside half Iestyn Arnold and inside centre Gabriel Thicker were the other Haverfordwest try scorers as they battled hard until the final whistle but bowed out of the competition nonetheless.
