Cresselly cricketers celebrate
125 years in true style
Cresselly Cricket Club held their annual dinner recently at the Begelly Arms , and about 90 attended as the guest speaker was Marc Wallace, captain of Glamorgan County Cricket C lub.
He featured in a 'question and answer' session which showed what it was like to play at county level – and the humour that is to be found as well as excellent players.
The presentations were as follows:
1. The first team players' player was Steffan Jenkins
2. The second team players' player was Matthew Lewis
3. The third team players' player was Hugh Evans
4. The ladies' team players' player was Lauren Arthur
5. The youth team player was shared by Thomas Arthur & George Wilkins
6. The best under 15's player was Harry Thomas, who was also given a trophy to mark having won the Pembroke County Cricket Club's bowling award, formerly known as the Julia White Trophy

· Marc has been awarded a benefit year next year and is holding a benefit match at Cresselly (date to be announced)
Cresselly, who have been celebrating their 125th season this year, have also been asked to host a Wales Minor Counties match next season.
