Llangwm recognise young cricket players

Llangwm Cricket ClubLlangwm Cricket Club have started their 2013 season early this year by hosting a presentation to recognise the achievements of two young members of their Club, both of whom were honoured with international recognition last season. 

Club captain Jonathan Twigg was able to congratulate the youngsters on their achievements and presented them with £100 of vouchers from Lords International as a token of the club's support towards their cricket equipment for this season.

Real success for Rhiannon and Noah

Seventeen year old Pembrokeshire College student Rhiannon Morgan has represented Wales for the past three seasons as a seam bowler and toured South Africa during 2012 with Wales Under 17s.  Tasker Milward student, twelve year old Noah Davies, received his first call up to the national under 11 team as an all rounder where his performances in captaining Cleddau Reach Primary School to the runners-up position in the National Schools' competition at Leicester Cricket Club did not go unnoticed..

Both young players expressed their thanks for the support given to them by both their Club and respective families, who highlighted the grounding and support the youngsters were given by the Club at the start of the pathway towards international recognition. 

New season anticipated

Jonathan Twigg also wished them continued success for 2013 where they have already been selected to attend national pre season training camps in preparation for the forthcoming campaigns.  He also urged any former member, or prospective member to contact new Club Secretary Billy Marchant {email:billmarchant@talktalk.net] as he outlined the club's vision for 2013, where it looks to build on the foundations set during the 2012 season and fulfil one of the main aims in developing the home ground of Pill Parks further, alongside the support of Llangwm Community Council.
