As cricketing weather finally arrived in Pembrokeshire there was no shortage of runs in most of the top echelon games, although there was one exception to the rule.
Town go top with comfortable win
Haverfordwest (136 for 3) beat Llangwm (133 all out)
Umpires: Trefor Evans and Huw Davies
Scorers: Jayne Cole and Janice Brick
Haverfordwest made it two wins in a row for new skipper Danny Potter, whose classy 60 not out helped The Town beat Llangwm by seven wickets with 5.3 overs to spare.
Andrew Harries (32), James Venables (17) and Gary Phillips (14) topped the Llangwm batting list as they ended up on 133 all out as Adam James again led the home bowling attack with a 4 for 35 haul alongside Clive Tucker (2 for 25), Chris Phillips (2 for 26), Josh Wilment (1 for 18) and Nigel Morgan (1-22).
Jonathan Strawbridge led The Town batting with a hard-hitting 40 that included five fours and a six but Haverfordwest lost wickets at 48, 54 and 55 as Ollie Davies (2 for 32) bowled well for Llangwm.
But Potter steadied things down as he stroked six boundaries in his undefeated innings and Mikey Jones helped him ease to victory with 24 not out in an unbroken stand of 81.
Danny Potter - led Haverfordwest by example with 60 not out
Howells routs baffled Borderers
Whitland (72 all out) lost to Narberth (73 for 2)
Umpires: Les Hastings and John Williams
Scorers: Janice Webb and Peter Hughes
Whitland are considered to be a powerful batting side but try telling that to Narberth’s veteran medium-pacer Wayne Howells because he sent them reeling to a paltry 72 all out as her judged his line and length to perfection so that only Steffan Jenkins (18), Dai Lee (15) and David Dunfee (10) could manage double figures.
Howells returned amazing figures of 7 for 14 in 12 overs, seven of them maidens, and was supported by Ian Hughes (1 for 23), Ben Quartermaine (1 for 14) and Matthew Johns (1 for 5) as an early tea beckoned.
David Dunfee managed to claim 2 for 22 as Narberth batted but Jordan Howell batted sensibly for his 27 before Ritchie Adams (27 not out) and Kyle Quartermaine (12 not out) saw Narberth through to a win which earned them 26 points to their opponents’ two points!
Wayne Howells - superb 7 for 14 haul in Narberth win
Lawrenny win local derby
Cresselly (187 for 9) lost to Lawrenny (188 for 4)
Umpires: Richard Merriman and Mervyn John
Scorers: Dave Richards and Malcolm Thomas
There were runs aplenty at Cresselly as the home side amassed 187 for 9 but neighbours Lawrenny passed their score in only 35 overs as Andrew Cole led the way with 80 not out.
Matthew Morgan (six fours and a six in his 62 was the pick of the Cresselly batting, assisted by Phil Williams (44, including seven fours), Neilson Cole (15) and Lyn Richards (11 not out) as Rob Williams (3
for 43), Brad McDermott-Jenkins (3 for 37) and Steve Lewis (3 for 47) bowled well for Lawrenny.
Then Cole anchored the innings for Lawrenny as James Buckle rasped 55 (seven fours and a six and Steve Lewis chipped in with 16. Simon Cole claimed 2 for 12 as Cresselly fielded, and there was a wicket apiece for Sam harts and Matthew Morgan as Lawrenny won with plenty in hand.

Davies stars for Carew but Llanrhian hang on
Carew (182 for 6) drew with Llanrhian (124 for 9)
Umpires: Rob Bellerby and Tony Waldeis
Tom Davies showed what a talented all-rounder he is with runs and wickets for Carew against Llanrhian but his side had to settle for draw points as the last Llanrhian pair survived nine deliveries to deny Carew success.
Davies struck 65 not out (eight fours and a six) as only Nick Scourfield (38) stayed long early on as Carew reached 73 for 5, Brian Hall (16), Adam Chandler (18 not out) and Ian Sefton were the only other Carew batsmen as Gary Reynolds bowled well for Llanrhian with 4 for 26 in his 12 overs alongside Matthew Bennett (2 for 28)
Stuart James (25), Luke Jones (24) and Nigel Delaney (23) were top scorers for Llanrhian but Davies grabbed 5 for 38 as he led the Carew attack – although it still wasn’t enough to give Carew victory.

Tom Davies - excellent all-round performance for Carew
Neyland made to struggle by Tish
Neyland (120 for 8) drew with St Ishmaels (160 for 7)
Umpires: Dave Brandon and Dai Morris
Scorers: John Laugharne and Wendy Bradshaw
Good batting by St Ishmaels helped them to a useful score at the Athletic Ground, where Neyland never looked likely to reach their target against good bowling and excellent fielding by the visitors.
Tish made a slow start but good batting from Peter Bradshaw (six fours and a six in his 61), Johnny Pawlett 929), Andrew Williams (19) took them to 160 for 7 against Nick Koomen (2 for 27), and Andrew Miller (2 for 28) along with a wicket apiece from Anton John, Nathan Banner and Gary Lloyd.
Banner (26) and Koomen (21) also featured in the Neyland batting but only Patrick Bellerby (15) and Scott Jones (14) managed double figures in the traditionally strong Neyland batting line-up against Dean John (3 for 36), Andrew Pawlett (3 for 21) and Danny Flynn (1 for 24).
