Hay shines for Pembroke

Pembroke (152 for 9) drew with Cresselly 2nds (108 for 7)

Division Two Reports 18th May 2013A good half century by Phil Hay helped Pembroke comfortable gain the better of the draw at Treleet against a struggling Cresselly 2nds.

Hay had four boundaries in his 52 and found support from Gianluca Tremarco (20), Spencer Harries (16) and Ceri Brace (14) as Harry Thomas (3 for 41), Phil James (2 for 16), Richard Harris (3 for 37) and Tom Arthur (1 for 17) were the Cresselly wicket-takers.

Talented teenager Thomas showed what a good all-round prospect he is with top score of 30 when Cresselly batted but they were always behind the clock against Jonathan Rogers (4 for 20), Ceri Brace (1 for 15 in 12 overs) and Sean Powell (1 for 31) and although Richard Harris scored 17 for Cresselly they had to settle on 108 for 7 and claim just seven points whilst Pembroke pouched 20 points.
