All square in tense finale
Haverfordwest (141 all out) drew with Narberth (134 for 8)
Umpires: Huw Davies and Alan Hansen
Scorers: Jayne Cole and Peter Hughes
Haverfordwest and Narberth fought out a tense finale to their match on The Racecourse before Narberth had to settle for a draw as they ended up seven runs short of The Town’s target with only two wickets left.
Haverfordwest looked likely to reach a higher tally than their 141 all out after a slow start before Danny Potter and Ben Field advanced the score to 96 for 1 on a slow pitch.
But then Matthew Johns' slow stuff had The Town batsmen in all sorts of trouble after he had trapped Ben Field lbw for 39 (three fours), supported by teenage pace man Jordan Howell, who finished up with 2 or 20. Johns claimed 5 for 43 and Ben Hughes finished on 1 for 12 as Potter's 61 (five fours and two big sixes) helped The Town to 141 all out before they were dismissed in their final over.
Narberth lost Marc Hughes early but Ritchie Adams (22), Mike Scale (22), Jordan Howell (14) and Wayne Howells (12) kept the scoreboard ticking over – but no-one from either side was able to take the game by the scruff of the neck. Adam James (3 for 37), Nigel Morgan (2 for 14) and Clive Tucker (3 for 26) claimed wickets at regular intervals and in the final analysis perhaps a draw was the fairest result.

Lawrenny win with two balls to spare
Lawrenny (173 for 8) beat Llanrhian (169 for 6)
Umpires: Rob Cousins and Tony Waldeis
Scorer: Malcolm Thomas
Nigel Delaney was the man of the match for Llanrhian as he top scored with 57 out of their 169 for 6 and grabbed 4 for 29 in 12 overs, but Lawrenny’s greater experience paid off as they eased home by two wickets with two balls to spare.
Llanrhian were asked to bat first and built towards a reasonable total as Gareth Davies (22) and Delaney (five fours and a six in his innings of 57) laid the foundations and then Richard Rhead (26 not out) and Luke Jones (18 not out) helped Llanrhian to 169 for 6 against the bowling of Brad McDermott-Jenkins (4 for 34) and Phil Cole (1 for 34).
Brad McDermott-Jenkins gave Lawrenny a flying start after tea as he blitzed four fours and three sixes in his 41 made out of 53 – and when he departed co-opener Andrew Cole scored 52 (six fours) against useful bowling by Delaney and Gareth Davies (1 for 26). Matthew Bennett suffered some ‘stick’ in his 1 for 73 as Rob Williams chipped in with 22 before Hugh Griffiths hit the winning boundary in his 17 not out at the finish.

Llangwm fall eight runs short
Neyland (138 for 5) beat Llangwm (131 all out)
Umpires: John Williams and Richard Merriman
Scorers: John Laugharne and Janice Brick
There were bitten fingernails on both sides at the Athletic Ground before Llangwm were finally dismissed for 131 runs and so Neyland were winners by seven runs.
Neyland made a positive start through skipper Gregg Miller (10) and Murray, who scored the bulk of their runs in an opening stand of 46 before he was out for 36 (including a six and four fours).
Andrew Miller chipped in with 21 but it was Nathan Banner who supplied the bulk of their runs with his excellent 60 not out that included eight boundaries.
Darren Brick was the pick of the Llangwm bowlers with 3 for 25 in his 12 overs, five of them maidens, supported by Andrew Harries (1 for 17 in 12 overs, six of them maidens) and Chris Inward
(1 for 40).
Joseph Kiff (29), Steve Mills (34) and Chris Inward (20) were top scorers in Llangwm’s response but Nathan Banner earned the Neyland man of the match tag as he followed up his unbeaten innings with 3 for 19 alongside Anton John’s 1 for 28 – and then the slow stuff from Gary Lloyd and Andrew Miller prevented Llangwm from taking control.
Lloyd claimed 3 for 24 and Miller 3 for 40 and those seven runs meant Neyland picked up 28 points and Llangwm had to settle for five points!

Tish get the better of high-scoring draw
Cresselly (203 for 4) drew with St Ishmaels (256 for 1)
Umpires: Dave Brandon and Tony Scourfield
Scorers: Dave Richards and Wendy Bradshaw
There were runs aplenty at Cresselly as St Ishmaels belted a huge 256 for 1 and then the home side responded with a creditable 203 for 4 as batsmen certainly got on top of the bowlers on a sunny day.
There were few early hints of the mammoth score to follow as St Ishmaels lost skipper Andrew Palmer for a single with the score on 12, bowled by Lyn Richards as part of a 1 for 17 haul from the Cresselly veteran in his 12 overs.
But then the carnage started as Pawlett smashed 15 fours and three sixes in his superb innings of 132 not out and found the perfect foil in Peter Bradshaw at the other end, who kept rotating the strike and stroking seven fours and four sixes en route to his first league century of 102 not out. Tish finished their 45 overs in prime position on 256 for 1 as the pair celebrated an unbroken stand of 244 runs.
Cresselly skipper Phil Williams led his team by example after tea with a stylish 75 (seven fours), before he was bowled by Andrew Palmer, and found support from Matthew Morgan, who had eight fours in his 50 before he was caught by keeper Bradshaw off Danny Flynn’s off-spin.
Simon Cole contributed 46 but got run out and Cresselly settled for the draw 54 runs short of their target and with only five points in the bag for their efforts as Tish claimed 22 points.

Runs galore at Carew
Carew (222 for 5) drew with Whitland (235 for 5)
Umpires: Steve Blowes and Dave Loosmore
Scorers: Ceri Davies and Janice Brick
There were certainly runs galore at Carew as Whitland scored a creditable 235 for 5 before Carew gave chase but were still 14 runs short of victory when stumps were drawn.
Dai Lee helped Whitland to a good start with his 36 runs alongside Jonathan Thomas, whose classy 70 included eight fours and two sixes. Kevin Pearce belted five boundaries in his 49 before he was caught attempting a big hit, whilst Iestyn Scourfield provided a late surge in a final total of 235 for 5 with three fours and four big sixes in his rapid-fire 42 not out.
For Carew, Rhys Davies led the way with 2 for 33 alongside Tom Davies (1 for 58), James Hinchliffe (1 for 47) and Adam Chandler (1 for 26) as Carew toiled hard with little success.
It was a similar story after tea as Brian Hall (23) and Nick Scourfield (55, including six fours) gave Carew a solid start and Ian Sefton continued his good form with ten fours and two sixes in his 80 runs.
Tim Hicks announced his return to action with a speedy 39 not out that included three fours and two sixes that helped Carew go close but useful bowling by Jonathan Thomas (3 for 68) and Mark Lee (2 for 42, plus a terrific catch to get rid of Scourfield) meant that Whitland claimed the better of a very good drawn game.
