Scorers: John Laugharne & Jayne Cole

Patrick Hannon was the undoubted hero as Neyland leap-frogged Haverfordwest into top spot in the table as a result of their narrow two-wicket win at the Athletic Ground.

Hannon Claimed 4 for 29 as he led the Neyland bowling attack in restricting The Town to 144 all out and then chipped in with a very important 31 not out to steer his side to the top of the table.

Simon Holliday (24), Huw Scriven (17), Josh Wilment (27) and Nigel Morgan (29 not out) helped steer Haverfordwest to a bigger total than seemed likely at one stage as they lurched to 81 for 9 before Wilment joined Morgan at the crease in a last-ditch effort. Patrick Hannon was joined by Nick Koomen (2-25), Gary Lloyd (2 for 20), Nathan Banner (1 for 22) and Andrew Miller (1 for 13) in taking wickets for the home side.

Neyland skipper Gregg Miller (seven fours in his 30) then gave Neyland a better start as he joined forces with Ashley Sutton (28) and Koomen (24) as Ashley James (3 for 47) was joined by left-armers Ajay Ravu (2 for 28) and Nigel Morgan (2 for 9) in getting amongst the wickets – but Patrick Hannon stayed calm as he stroked four fours and a six so that Neyland were deserved victors on the day.

Llanrhian delighted by big win

Llanrhian (230 for 7) beat Llangwm (130 all out)

Umpires: Les Hastings & Arthur Brady
Scorer: Rhodri Owen & Janice Brick

Cricket Reports – Division One - 1st June 2013
Llanrhian were delighted with their 100-run win over Llangwm at Llandigige Fawr because the maximum points gained put them within two points of their opponents at the foot of the table.

Gareth Davies led the Llanrhian batting with a typically classy 67 (8 fours and a six), supported by useful cameos from Geraint Morris (45, including two fours and a six)), Luke Jones (37) and Jack Jones (31) as Andrew Harries (3 for 38) and Chris Inward (3 for 39) were again the pick of the Llangwm bowlers.

Llangwm needed someone to score heavily but when Will Beresford departed for 30 (four fours) there was no-one who assumed the role as Ollie Davies (24) and Darren Brick (16) were the other top scorers against Jack Jones (3 for 35), Matthew Bennett (2 for 34) and Davies, who completed a good all-round afternoon with a 2-22 spell.

Umpires: Dave Brandon & Tony Scourfield
Scorers: Malcolm Thomas & Janice Webb
Cricket Reports – Division One - 1st June 2013

Whitland moved into the top four in the league table as they gained a tight two-wicket win over Lawrenny as Paul Davies used his experience to good effect by steering them home.

Davies top scored with 37 not out as they chased down a Lawrenny score of 146 all out that owed much to Hugh Griffiths (54, including eight fours and a six), Andrew Cole (29) and Rob Williams (16) as Iestyn Scourfield spear-headed the Whitland attack with 5 for 25, ably assisted by David Dunfee (2 for 34) and Mark Lee (3 for 47).

Rob Williams (4 for 40), was joined by Jamie Lewis (1 for 42), Steve Lewis (1 for 21) and Ben Cole (2 for 35) as the Lawrenny wicket-takers but David Lee (26) and Ed John (29 – seven fours) batted well before Paul Davies settled things down with his vital innings at the end, which contained five boundaries.

Tish take third place as reward

St Ishmaels (137 for 7) beat Narberth (135 all out)

Umpires: John Williams & Dave Loosmore
Scorers: Wendy Bradshaw & Peter Hughes
Cricket Reports – Division One - 1st June 2013

St Ishmaels continued their recent good vein of form as they beat Narberth by three wickets to move into third place in the section table.

Narberth batted first and their tally of 137 for 7 owed much to Marc Hughes (seven fours in his 35), Ritchie Adams (20), Ollie Cook (21) and Ian Hughes (22) against the bowling of Dean John (2 for 40), Andrew Pawlett (2 for 9), Jonathan Pawlett (3 for 18), Danny Flynn (2 for 8) and Andrew Williams 1 for 2).

Williams then showed what an important cog he is in the Tish machine his undefeated 47 (Containing six boundaries) helped them to victory, assisted by Andrew Palmer (16), Peter Bradshaw (14), and Steve Hartley (12) before Flynn joined him with an important 16 not out.

Ben Hughes (4 for 49), Sean Coaker (1 for 16), Ian Hughes (1 for 18) and Matthew Johns (1 for 30) all took wickets for Narberth but Williams and Flynn steered Tish to success.

Cresselly have the better of local derby draw

Cresselly (247 for 6) drew with Carew (177 for 5)

Umpires: Trefor Evans & Alan Hansen

Scorer: Dave Richards
Cricket Reports – Division One - 1st June 2013

Cresselly gained the better of the draw in their local derby against Carew as they batted first and set such a big score that Carew were unable to find the inspiration to give chase in a match where 424 runs were scored but Cresselly’s Matthew Morgan was the only batsman to score a half century.

It also left local pundits wondering when was the last time that Carew were still seeking their first success after six league games, although amazingly they are still undefeated after drawing five and having the other abandoned.

Morgan (10 fours in his 52) was joined by Andrew Harris (37, including five fours), Phil Williams (31), Ryan Lewis (31), Damian Arthur (31) and Nick Davies (38 not out) in steering Cresselly to 247 for 6 as Rhys Davies (2 for 46) and James Hinchliffe (2 for 61) were the main Carew bowlers.

Tim Hicks (Five boundaries in his 38), Ian Sefton (33), Robbie Hacks (29) and Tom Davies (27) were the top scorers for Carew but Stefan Jenkins (3 for 54), Lyn Richards (2 for 37) and the rest of the Cresselly bowlers made sure that Carew were still 70 runs adrift at the end of the match.

Matthew Morgan - 50 for Cresselly against Carew
