Town take control at Pill Parks
Llangwm (179 for 7) lost to Haverfordwest (182 for 4)
Umpires: Tony Scourfield & John Austin
Scorers: Janice Brick & Jayne Cole
Haverfordwest maintained second spot in the league table with this six-wicket success at Pill Parks against a depleted Llangwm side, with Simon Holliday, Ben Field, Adam James and Danny Potter scoring the runs with 23 balls to spare.
Huw Brock chipped in with an early 14 for Llangwm but skipper Jonathan Twigg could only muster 9 from 38 deliveries before Steve Inward and Gary Phillips combined to raise the tempo with a string of boundary and six hits.
Phillips eventually departed for 30 (a six and four fours) and Richard Brock added a speedy 15 late on that contained a big six – but it was left to ace run-gatherer Steve Inward to score the bulk of the runs. He stroked ten fours and two big sixes in succession off Clive Tucker as he moved to 89 but was then well caught on the boundary by James Morris off the bowling of Simon Holliday, who returned figures of 1-23 alongside Josh Wilment (3 for 31), Simon Williams (2 for 40) and James Morris (1 for 29).
A 70 stand between Holliday (47) and Field (29) set The Town on their way and Dan Cole also added 16 before Potter (47 not out) and James (24 not out) came together in an undefeated stand that eased Haverfordwest to a comfortable win.

Skipper Gregg guides Neyland home
St Ishmaels (193 for 4) lost to Neyland (194 for 2)
Umpires: Les Hastings & Steve Blowes
Scorers: Wendy Bradshaw & John Laugharne
A gritty innings of 81 not out from Gregg Miller helped league leaders Neyland pick up maximum points at St Ishmaels as they restricted the home side to 193 for 4 and then coasted home with eight wickets and
27 balls to spare.
After deciding to bat first, St Ishmaels had runs from Peter Bradshaw (27) and Danny Flynn (25) but the run rate only increased when Tish skipper Andrew Palmer was joined at the crease by experienced all-rounder Andrew Williams.
They came together with the score on 102 for 4 and both enjoyed boundaries aplenty in an unbroken stand of 91 as Palmer donated 54 not out (three fours) and Williams remained unbeaten on 57 (five fours and two sixes).
Nick Koomen (2 for 29), Gary Lloyd 1-48 and Andrew Miller (1 for 53) were the only Neyland bowlers to get amongst the wickets but Tish might have hoped for a few more runs at the start of play.
And that is just what happened because Gregg Miller had eight boundaries in his innings and shared a solid opening stand with Paul Murray, who was finally run out for 51 (seven fours and a six). Johnny Pawlett also claimed a wicket for Tish but it was to no avail because Gregg Miller was joined by big brother Andrew (41 not out, including four boundaries) in an unbroken stand of 79 which took Neyland to another vital victory in their quest for the title.

Last pair holds out for Narberth draw
Narberth (184 for 9) drew with Whitland (243 for 9)
Umpires: Dave Loosmore & Peter Perry
Scorers: Peter Hughes & Janice Webb
Narberth’s last pair of Matthew Johns and Ben Hughes held out for the final two overs of another run-fest at the Lewis Lloyd Ground to deny Whitland victory in an absorbing clash.
Ed John and Steffan James shared an opening stand of 122 for Whitland before James departed for 37 and John eventually followed for 76 (13 boundaries), plus 47 from Johnny Thomas and 28 from Iestyn Scourfield.
Jordan Howell was the pick of the Narberth bowlers with his 3 for 21 analysis, whilst Matthew Johns (3 for 54), Ian Hughes (1 for 50) and Wayne Howells (1 for 41) were the other Narberth wicket-takers.
Narberth’s in-form run machine Marc Hughes was dismissed for 8 on this rare occasion but there were steady knocks from Ritchie Adams (24), Ollie Cook (35), Wayne Howells (31) and Ian Hughes (21). Jordan Howell completed another excellent all-round display with top score of 42 but no-one was able to build the big score needed to form the back bone of the innings against Mark Lee (2 for 46), David Dunfee (2 for 50), Dan James (3 for 38) and Johnny Thomas (2 for 31).
Ed John - led Whitland by example with 76 runs
Brad’s big innings in vain
Lawrenny (308 for 8) drew with Cresselly (217 for 8)
Umpires: Trefor Evans & Huw Davies
Scorers: Malcolm Thomas & Dave Richards
A superb innings of 174 by Brad McDermott-Jenkins helped Lawrenny to a mammoth score against neighbours Cresselly but they were unable to bowl the opposition out and had to settle for a high-scoring draw.
Lawrenny served notice of intent since Brad McDermott-Jenkins looked in devastating mood when they raced to 133 for 1 in only 19 overs as Andrew Cole was out for 14 but McDermott-Jenkins had already blasted eight fours and six big sixes in his 102 not out.
Steve Lewis struck five fours and a six in his excellent 54 and Patrick Elliott chipped in with a late 14 but it was McDermott-Jenkins who took Lawrenny to a bigger score than any local pundits could remember as he belted 14 fours and 11 sixes in his 174 before he tried for one big hit too many against Bobby Webb (4 for 74) and was caught in the deep by Andrew Harris. Simon Cole’s slow stuff earned him 2 for 52 for Cresselly whilst Richard Harris, often the most miserly of bowlers, had 1 for 51 in only five overs.
It was always going to be difficult to chase that score but there decent knocks from Andrew Harris (seven fours and two sixes) and Damian Arthur (52) in a stand of 116, whilst Nick Davies (30) and skipper Phil Williams (22) also made useful contributions but with useful bowling by Steve Lewis (3 for 41), Jamie Lewis (3 for 63) and Rob Williams (1 for 52) the match inevitable petered out into a draw with Cresselly still needing another 92 runs for victory.

Carew denied by tail-ender Ieuan
Llanrhian (141 for 9) drew with Carew (200 for 9)
Umpires: Allan Hansen & Rob Bellerby
Scorer: Jason Cole (Llanrhian)
Llanrhian’s No 11 Ieuan Jenkins only had to face one ball at Llandigige Fawr but it proved to be a vital one because he survived it to give his side a draw against visitors Carew, despite superb bowling by Carew’s Sean Whitfield.
Put in to bat first, Carew were in trouble early on as they lurched to 27 for 3 but then Rhys Davies and Ian Sefton shared a century stand with some good batting where Davies eventually scored 60 (seven fours) and Sefton went even higher on 79, including 11 fours and three big sixes. Tom Davies also contributed 18 and the pick of the Llanrhian bowlers were Gareth Davies (4 for 27), Matthew Bennett (2 for 47), Christo Arundel (2 for 53) and Luke Jones (1 for 37).
Llanrhian started well via Ben Jones (32) and Gareth Davies (21) but good bowling from Tom Davies (3 for 38) and especially Sean Whitfield, whose ability to swing the ball earned him outstanding figures of 6 for 19, which meant that the homesters were never able to build well. Matthew Bennett scored 24 and Luke Jones was the mainstay late on with 33 not out (four fours) that kept Llanrhian in the game.
