Cardiff and the Vale (188 for 8) beat Pembrokeshire (139 for 9) by 49 runs

Cardiff and The Vale won the toss and chose to bat on a lovely day at Cowbridge Cricket Club and their openers got off to a great start before the first wicket fell with the run rate at seven per over. The Pembrokeshire bowling attack took wickets at regular intervals to slow the run rate but a hard hitting 19 from Will Mabley and good knocks from Harry Edwards and Arron Arthur got Cardiff to a final tally of 188 for 8.
County Under 13s miss out against Cardiff & The Vale
Noah Davies returned the best figures for Pembrokeshire with 2 for 18, with Lewis Hough, Nathan Coaker, Harry Nicholas and Lloyd Bartlett the other wicket takers.

Quick runs needed

Pembrokeshire started their run chase slowly but steadily, which meant that quick runs were needed at the end. Harry Nicholas (19) and Lewis Hough (13) obliged with terrific running between the wickets but it wasn’t enough in the end as Pembrokeshire fell 49 runs short. John Mansbridge (16) and Noah Davies (32) also batted superbly well. Tom Jenkins had Cardiff's best bowling figures with 3 for 10.

A good performance from the Pembrokeshire under 13s but sloppiness in the field and bowling made it a harder task than it already was. Praise must go to keeper Jack Scriven, who only conceded 3 byes despite many balls being wayward.
