Johnston bounced back to the top of the section with a comfortable win at Llechryd but not before the home side had played with far greater skill and commitment than their bottom place would suggest.
Lewis Boswell maintained his good form with the bat as he top scored for Johnston with 49 runs, supported by cameos from Jack Mills (27), Rhys Dalling (25), John Summons (24) and Lee Summons (23) against steady bowling from Graham Keen (4 for 43), James Heneker (3 for 40) and super-vet Peter Betterley (2 for 43).
Keen showed what a good cricketer he is with 53 runs (eight fours) when Llechryd batted and Gwion Howell maintained his good form with 42 but they lacked any real support against Steve Mills (4 for 28), Simon Williams (3 for 34), Paul Hood (2 for 22) and Rhys Dalling (1 for 14) and so suffered their tenth defeat in 12 outings.
