Llangwm win the section silverware
Llangwm (204 all out) beat Haverfordwest 2nds (102 all out) by 102 runs
Umpires: Rob Bellerby & Rob Elliott
Scorers: Janice Brick & Natalie Thomas
Llangwm’s young skipper Joseph Kiff received the Dan Jones Cup from County Club chairman Tony Scourfield and Llangwm bounced back into the first division at the first attempt as champions of Division Two.
They knew that a winning draw would be enough against Haverfordwest 2nds but completed their season in style with victory by a huge 102 runs as reward for their endeavours against a Haverfordwest team which was generally outthought and outfought.
Will Beresford top scored with 59 (three fours and a six) alongside Richard Brock (29), James Venables (33), Chris Thomas (29) and Kiff (14) despite useful bowling by The Town’s Avron Roulstone (3 for 41), Simon Williams (1 for 10), Kieran O’Connor (1 for 18), Josh Hicks (1 for 38) and skipper James Morris (3 for 74).
Talented teenager O’Connor top scored with 24 for Haverfordwest and he had some support from Dan Cole (13), Mark Stobbs (15) and Roulstone (13) but no-one was allowed to settle against Luke Brock, who spear-headed the Llangwm attack with 5 for 26, with Chris Inward (4 for 20) and Richard Brock (1 for 25) keeping up the good work before the young Llangwm team celebrated in style.

Mills bombs out battered Hook
Hook (99 all out) lost to Johnston (220 for 9) 121 runs
Umpires: John Austin & Robert Ridge
Scorers: Chris Holder & Delyth Summons
A typically powerful century by Steve Mills helped Johnston gain promotion at neighbours Hook, with another good all-round team performance putting them in the runners’ spot when news of Llangwm’s big win a mile up the road at Hook came through.
Mills smashed eight fours and nine big sixes as he reached his 50 in 56 balls and added another 65 runs from the next 33 deliveries before he was caught by Tom Blaxland off the bowling of Dai Hopkins, who finished with 5 for 92 in ten overs.
Dan Sutton (21), Leigh Summons (19) and his father John (12) also scored a few runs each before pace bowlers Paul Hood and Kevin Roberts were 14 not out apiece at the finish, despite the efforts of Brennan Martin (1 for 41), Jamie Phelps (2 for 42), Andrew Thomas (1 for 38) and Hopkins to shift them.
Hook had runs from Jake Wicks (36), Andrew Thomas (16) and Hopkins (22 not out) but no-one was able to launch a big score against Hood (6 for 35), Gary James (2 for 10) and Roberts (2 for 21) so that Johnston strolled to victory by 121 runs.

Dunfee dazzles basement battlers
Whitland 2nds (272 for 4) beat Llechryd (64 all out) by 208 runs
Umpires: Denis Chiffi & Rob Cousins
Scorers: Ann-Marie Jenkins
Whitland Seconds claimed a massive 208-run victory over already-relegated Llechryd and left local pundits debating over whether or not David Dunfee had produced the best-ever all round performance of any match in the county.
Dunfee appeared at No 4 in the Whitland batting line up and smashed seven fours and an amazing ELEVEN SIXES as he raced to 109 in only 37 deliveries before he was caught by Scott Jones off Ajay and after Whitland had amassed 272 for 4 he carved his way through the shell-shocked Llechryd batting to grab EIGHT WICKETS for only 32 runs!
Paul Webb found his batting form to score 61 (five boundaries) as he shared a stand of 128 with Dunfee, whilst skipper Wayne Jones (41) and Andrew Edwards (25) also made useful contributions against Peter Betterley (1 for 27), Ajay (2 for 27) and Scott Thomas (1 for 39).
When Llechryd batted, only Richard Connolly (22) and Graham Keen (11) managed double figures as Dunfee ripped them to shreds, with support from Geraint Phillips (1 for 12) and Paul Webb (1 for 11).

Burton shoot down The Crows at Carew
Carew 2nds (156 all out) lost to Burton (157 for 7) by three wickets
Umpires: Huw Davies & Mervyn John
Burton finished their season in style as they gained a three-wicket win over a Carew Seconds side already relegated but playing better than their league table would suggest.
Lewis Hicks hit a quick-fire 57 for The Crows alongside skipper Dai Rees’s 32 as they batted first and Burton’s veteran bowler Johnny Scale claimed 2 for 25.
Sean Whitfield was the pick of the home bowlers with 3 for 21 but Phil Sutton guided Burton into a healthy fourth place in the section table with their seventh win to go with four draws and only three defeats.
Nick’s ‘ton’ seals Cresselly win
Cresselly 2nds (218 for 7) beat Pembroke (213 all out) by three wickets
Umpires: Dave Brandon & Glyn Pawlett
A splendid century by Nick Jones helped Cresselly beat Pembroke in a very high-scoring tussle where skipper Matthew Lewis gave nine bowlers a chance and shifted his batting order to give some of his lower order a chance to shine.
Jones struck 18 boundaries in his century before he was bowled by Pembroke’s opening bat and occasional slow left-armer Barry Evans, who for once failed to make an impact with his batting as Pembroke took first use of a very good Cresselly track. But the visitors had Paul White (40), Phil Hay (62, including ten fours and two sixes) Luke Butler (41) and Lewis Wilkes (30) to thank as they reached 213 all out against Neal Williams (1 for 25), Rhydian Rees (1 for 18), Nick Jones (1 for 22), Megan Jenkins (2 for 35), Tom Arthur (2 for 14) and Matthew Lewis (2 for 9).
It was a sizeable total to chase as Jack Harries (3 for 25) and Lewis Wilkes (3 for 41) bowled well for Pembroke but Jones (100), Richard Harris (27), Lewis 10) and Scott Arthur (37 not out) helped Cresselly Seconds home with overs to spare, as Arthur finished the game in style by launching a big six.
