Easy win for champions
Neyland 245 for 6 beat Cresselly 150 all out
Champions Neyland picked up where they left off from last season with a convincing 95 runs victory at home against Cresselly.
Neyland lost the toss and were put into bat by the visitors. Nick Kooman was in good form and chipped in as top scorer with a brilliant knock of 94, whilst Nathan Banner also assisted with a terrific innings of 79, as the innings closed on a challenging total of 245 for 6.
Brad Jenkins returned Cresselly’s best bowling figures of 4 for 65, while in the last over of the innings talented teenager Tom Murphy clean bowled Jonty Bennett.
In reply, Cresselly struggled against the accurate pace bowling of Nathan Banner and Patrick Hannon who took two wickets apiece and Gary Lloyd chipped in with two.
Brad Jenkins (27) and Mike Shaw (25) were the only batsmen to reach double figures as Cresselly were bowled out for 150.

Holliday cracks superb undefeated ton
Llanrhian 60 all out lost to Haverfordwest 245 for 4
Simon Holliday starred with a superb undefeated century to help Haverfordwest to a massive 185 runs victory at Llanrhian.
The visitors batted first with Ben Field (54 in 43 balls) playing an excellent cameo role with the outstanding Holliday, who cracked 116 not out with 12 fours and six sixes. There were also decent knocks from Jonathan Strawbridge (29) and Nigel Delaney (29) as the innings closed on 245 for 5.
After tea Llanrhian struggled in their reply, as they lurched to 7 for 3 and then 30 for 7 as the Town spin king Clive Tucker grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and took six wickets alongside pace bowler Adam James, who took two as Llanrhian were cleaned out for a disappointing 60 runs, with only Matthew Bennett (23 not out) and Dom Wright managing double figures.
This Saturday, Llanrhian entertain last season’s Division Two champions Llangwm, while Haverfordwest are home against Lawrenny at The Racecourse.

Mills shines with bat and ball for Johnston
Lawrenny 212 all out lost to Johnston 329 for 4
Steve Mills was Johnston’s star man as he struck a brilliant 169 and took three wickets to help his side to an impressive 117 runs victory at Lawrenny.
Last season’s Division Two runners-up batted first and Mills was in fine fettle scoring a brilliant century with excellent support from newcomer Mike Jones, who cracked 85.
The innings closed on a high total of 329 for 4 with Lawrenny always up against it after tea.
In reply, only Joe Kidney (36), and Steve Lewis (72) managed to reach double figures as the innings closed on 212
all out, with Johnston’s bowlers Mills 3 for 40, Daniel Sutton 2 for 22 and Jason Davies 2 for 42 chipping in with regular wickets and earning their side maximum league points in the process.

Llangwm 193-9 lost to St Ishmaels 197 for 4
Batsmen Jonathan Pawlett and Brennan Devonald steered St Ishmaels to a comfortable six wicket victory at Llangwm.
Tish’s medium pace bowler Andrew Williams took five wickets and he took a stunning diving catch at point as last season’s Division Two team struggled to really get going at Pill Parks, despite William Beresford hitting (54), Huw Brock (32), Luke Brock (25) and Joseph Kiff (22) as the innings closed on 193 for 9 from their allotted 45 overs.
In reply, Tish had opener Danny Howells run out for a duck but stuck to the task, with teenager Devonald hitting a superb half century and Pawlett was not hanging around with an excellent (71, including nine fours and three sixes), whilst Philip Cockburn finished on 27 not out and helped his side claim an impressive opening day of the season away win.
This Saturday, St Ishmaels entertain champions Neyland and Llangwm travel to Llanrhian.

Sparkling Scourfield century as Rooks are frustrated
Carew 255 for 4 drew with Whitland 196 for 8
Nick Scourfield stroked an excellent undefeated century for Carew but his side had to settle the better of a draw at home with Whitland.
The Rooks batted first, with Scourfield leading the batting with patience and good shot selection, as Ian Sefton scored a good half century, but once he departed Rhys Davies complemented the outstanding Scourfield with a brilliant 82 not out so that the innings closed on a challenging 255 for 4 total.
After tea the visitors were always behind the runs chase, but with steady innings from Dylan Blain (47), Jack Bowen (48) and Matthew Webb (47) this helped Whitland stay at the crease until the end and Sean Whitfield (2 for 39) returned decent bowling figures for The Rooks.
