There was midweek action this week in the Alec Colley Cup, plus matches played in the Ken Morris Memorial Cup and the new T20 league for under 19s.
Alec Colley Cup Quarter Finals:
St Ishmaels 2nds (133 for 7) beat Cresselly 2nds (107 for 8) by 26 runs
Umpires: Les Hastings & Allan Hansen
Scorers: Wendy Bradshaw/Pat Williams & Des Brace
St Ishmaels 2nds caused the shock of the competition as they dumped out Cresselly Seconds, who had appeared in seven successive previous finals and won five of them.
But Tish showed true grit as they built a big tally and then restricted the favourites, who are currently second in Division Two whilst the home side are fourth in Division Five.
Dean John (25), Robbie Thomas (28), Phil Cockburn (25) and Kevin L Bowen (20) scored the bulk of the Tish runs as Richard Harris (3 for 39), Matthew Lewis (2 for 25), Matthew Webb (1 for 24) and Stefan Jenkins (1 for 2) were the Cresselly wicket-takers.
Neal Williams (24), Billy Kinnear (25) and Stefan Jenkins (26 not out) were the main Cresselly run-getters but good bowling by Bowen (2 for 31), Jordan Milich (2 for 30), Lenny Rees (2 for 22) and John (2 for 23) saw Tish into the semi-finals.

Whitland 2nds (157 for 5) beat Narberth 2nds (112 for 6) by 45 runs
Umpires: Dave Brandon & Dai Morris
Scorers: Ann-Marie Jenkins & Gwynneth Johns
Whitland Seconds moved smoothly into the semi-finals with this comfortable win at The Lewis Lloyd Ground where they bowled, batted and fielded just a little better than their counterparts from Narberth.
Nathan Evans (42) and Martin Thomas (30) formed the platform for Whitland before Nico Setaro smashed a late 45 not out so that although Lewis Hough (3 for 9) bowled well for Narberth only Sion Thomas (2 for 49) was able to take any more wickets and a finally Whitland tally of 157 for 5 was always going to be a formidable challenge.
Iwan Bowen-Rees was the key batsman for Narberth with 43 runs alongside Andrew Williams (22) and Mike Williams (22 not out) but they were never able to match the run rate against good bowling from Geraint Phillips (3 for 23), Martin Thomas (2 for 28) and Paul Webb (1 for 22).
Hook (104 for 3) beat Llanrhian 2nds (103 all out) by 7 wickets
Umpires: Denis Chiffi & Arthur Brady
Scorers: Joy James & Sam Walsh
Llanrhian 2nds skipper Tony Kitchell opted to bat first against Hook but his plan back-fired as they were shot out for 105 and Hook reached their target with wickets and overs in hand.
Only Ben Jones ever looked comfortable as he had five fours and a six in his 52 and no-one else but Luke Jones (10) managed double figures against Noah Davies (2 for 20), Bradley Flood (2 for 22) and especially Chis ‘Growler’ Holder, who bowled really well for his 5 for 13.
Davies then contributed 24 not out to confirm his potential and there was support from Jack Britton (33), Harry Morris (14) and Flood (11 not out) as the only wicket takers for Llanrhian were Colin Reynolds (1 for 18), Luke Jones (1 for 22) and Gwyn Watson (1 for 25).
Chris Holder - excellent 5 for 13 spell in Hook win
Revised Draw (both games to be played at Kilgetty on Sunday 26th July:
Haverfordwest or Lawrenny v St Ishmaels
Hook v Whitland
Ken Morris Memorial Cup:
Neyland 3rds (126 for 7) lost to Haverfordwest 3rds (129 for 4) by 6 wickets
Haverfordwest Thirds won their second match in the round-robin part of this competition as they beat Neyland Thirds by six wickets at The Athletic Ground.
Neyland batted first and reached 126 for 7 thanks to the returning Scott John (43) and Callum Woods (37) as Micky Phillips showed that there is life after 50 for The Town with a cracking 5 for 21 haul.
Another old-timer in Ian Woods (2 for 24) also spear-headed the Neyland attack but John Tooze (29) and the big-hitting Richard Scriven (59 not out) eased Haverfordwest to the top of the table so far.
Micky Phillips - five wicket haul for Haverfordwest Thirds
Tees-R-Us T20 Competition:
Cresselly (164 for 7) lost to Haverfordwest (181 for 8) by 17 runs

Haverfordwest’s under 19s fended off a strong challenge from the Cresselly counterparts in a match described by seasoned onlookers as a ‘credit to both clubs’.Batting first, Haverfordwest had 38 from skipper Nitin Mathias (including seven boundaries) before there were excellent inning from Kieran O’Brien (six fours) and Mark Stobbs (five fours and four sixes) before both had to retire when they reached the 50 mark – and Tom Mansbridge was the pick of the home bowlers with 2 for 26.
Jack Goldworthy batted really well for Cresselly as he scored a boundary-laden 50 and found support from Billy Kinnear (29) and Olly Richards (27 not out) – but Haverfordwest had tight bowling spells from Jordan Howell (2 for 20) and Kieran O’Connor (2 for 12) alongside a wicket apiece from Archie Thomas, Owen Jones, Warren Evans and Dan Cole in a creditable victory.
