Cresselly win top of table clash
Narberth (243 for 8) lost to Cresselly 2nds (247 for 5) by 5 wickets
Umpires: Huw Davies & Richard MerrimanScorers: Emma Richards & Des Brace
There were runs galore at Narberth before the home side, who are miles clear at the top of the table, lost only their second game of the season against a strong Cresselly second string who stay in second place after successfully chasing down a target of 244 for victory.
Kyle Quartermaine was again the star batsman for Narberth as he played some superb shots before he was finally out for 105, a fine innings which included 12 fours and a six – and he was ably assisted by brother Ben (42), Kamal Sharma (26), Ritchie Adams (20), Jordan Howell (14) and Chris Spratt (13).
Lyn Richards (1 for 46) Tom Arthur (1 for 23), Matthew Lewis (3 for 70) and especially Ollie Richards (4 for 41) bowled for Cresselly before their powerful batting line-up was set in motion by Rhydian Rees (19) and Scott Arthur (43) before Nick Davies stroked 12 fours and a six in his top score of 79 and found excellent support from Alex Bayley (63) as the Quartermaine brothers and Ben Hughes tried manfully to wrest the initiative back.
But Neal Williams scored 22 not out and Lyn Richards struck the winning boundary with an over left of an absorbing clash between the two best teams in the section.
Century maker Kyle Quartermaine is all smiles

Pembroke keep up winning streak off game’s last ball
Pembroke (207 for 6) beat Burton (203 for 7) by 4 wickets
Umpires: Denis Chiffi & Rob ElliottThere were plenty of runs scored at Treleet before home side Pembroke maintained their climb up the table with a boundary off the final ball of the 90 overs to snatch the verdict over a Burton team which played far better than their precarious place in the table would suggest.
Brothers Luke and Toby Hayman scored 34 and 24 respectively when Burton batted first and skipper Morgan Scale contributed an excellent 59 alongside Will Ridge (32) against the bowling of Billy Wood (1 for 55), Jonathan Rogers (2 for 31) and Jack Harries (3 for 10).
Barry Evans anchored the Pembroke innings with 30 and there were contributions from skipper Paul White (23) and Phil Hay (35) before his brother Andrew (36 not out) joined forces with the powerful Wood (64 not out) in taking Pembroke to victory, despite yeoman work for Burton with the ball by Scale (2 for 31) and Welsh international ‘old-timer’ Steve Jones (2 for 47).
Town well and truly Hooked after flying start
Haverfordwest 2nds (93 all out) lost to Hook (94 for 4) by 6 wickets
Umpires: Rob Cousins & Mervyn JohnScorer: Ros Phillips
Phelps trapped Morgan and bowled Clinton on the way to a 6 for 28 haul alongside another Hook ‘old-timer’ in Matthew Holder (4 for 29) as the rest of The Town team could muster only 18 runs between them.
Nigel Morgan (2 for 20), skipper James Morris (1 for 22) and Clinton (1 for 13) were the successful Haverfordwest bowlers but top Hook batsman Tom Blaxland took them home with 52 not out (eight fours), ably assisted by Jake Wicks (22), as their team considerably eased their previous relegation worries.
Nigel Morgan was the Town's top scorer with 38
Kilgetty grab last-gasp victory
Kilgetty (116 all out) beat Whitland 2nds (114 all out) by 2 runs
Umpires: John Austin & Tony WaldeisScorers: Rose Jenkins & Ann-Marie Jenkins
There was high drama at Kingsmoor when Kilgetty edged through by two runs in a low-scoring tussle against Whitland Seconds.
Yet at tea-time it must have been the visitors who had the greater expectation of victory after they had dismissed Kilgetty for only 114 runs – a tally which owed much to in-form batsman Ross Hardy.
Hardy stroked an excellent 54 not out, which included five fours and two sixes, with cameos from Peter Hall (11) and Ian Poole (19) as ‘old war horse’ Stuart Harries grabbed 5 for 28 alongside Paul Webb (3 for 40) and Geraint Phillips (2 for 3)
Phillips (33) and Webb (20) joined Raff Williams (26) in batting well for Whitland but they kept losing wickets against Christian Phillips (3 for 27), Ross Hardy (2 for 23), Anthony Bevan (1 for 17) and Ian Poole, who ended up with 4 for 3 as Geoff Marsh stumped the last Whitland batsman with just two runs separating the sides, but with Kilgetty still holding on to that narrow advantage!
