Division Two Reports 24th April 2016 Hook (220 all out) lost to Pembroke (225 for 5)


There was a dramatic finish at Hook as a splendid century from Jake Wicks helped the home side get within five runs of Pembroke’s mammoth 225 for 5 before a relieved Paul ‘Chalkie’ White could lead his team to victory.

White (51 not out), Barry Evans (43), Jack Harries (65) and Andrew Hay (26) were the principal scorers for the visitors as Andrew Thomas (2 for 65), Wicks (2 for 23) and Brennan Martin (1 for 49) were the Hook wicket takers.

Wicks struck 14 fours and two sixes in his 115 before he was run out and found support from Martin (24) and Bradley Flood (23) but Andrew Hay (4 for 11), Jack Harries (2 for 25) and Jonathan Rogers (1 for 38) kept plugging away for Pembroke and finally saw them edge home.

Division Two Reports 24th April 2016 Carew Seconds (129 all out)
lost to Haverfordwest 2nds (252 for 6)


Kern Cunningham smashed 15 fours and two sixes before he was out last ball of Haverfordwest 2nds’ huge 252 for 6 before Carew were dismissed for 129 all out.

Cunningham found good support from Kieran O’Connor (53 not out (eight fours) against Simon Wood 93 for 44) and Iori Hicks (2 for 45).

Robbie Hicks (34) led the Carew counter until he had to retire hurt and good bowling by Simon Williams (4 for 29) and O’Connor (3 for 15) saw The Town win by 123 runs.

Division Two Reports 24th April 2016 Whitland 2nds 59 all out) lost to Llangwm (60 for 4)


No doubt about the fastest finish of the day – that was Llangwm’s six-wicket success at Whitland as the home side were shot out for 59 and Joe Kiff’s boys reached their target whilst losing four wickets to some excellent bowling by Connor Bowen.

Only Dave Lee (30) and Geraint Phillips (14) ever settled for Whitland against Andrew Harries (4 for 8), Phil Llewellyn (3 for 15) Matthew Kiff (2 for 15) and Chris Inwards (1 for 18) but Llangwm also found runs hard to come by against Bowen (4 for 23) until Iwan Griffiths (15) and James Venables (19) saw them home.

Division Two Reports 24th April 2016 Burton (254 for 9) drew with Cresselly 2nds (165 for 9)


A splendid innings of 118 by Luke Hayman helped Burton to a big score against Cresselly, who held on for the draw with their last pair at the crease. Hayman had 18 fours and three sixes in his century alongside cameos by Will Ridge (40), James Davies (23) and Jonathan Venables (25) and although there was some good bowling by Morgan Scale (3 for 44), John Scale (2 for 33) and Jack Davies (2 for 39) they were unable to claim that vital last wicket!

Division Two Reports 24th April 2016 Stackpole (132 all out) lost to Kilgetty (134 for 1)


Kurtis Marsh led Kilgetty to an easy win at Stackpole as his classy innings of 72 not out gave them a good start to the season alongside Anthony Bevan’s 3 for 5 haul.

Rob Mathias (33) top scored for Stackpole in their 132 all out but only Dewi Roberts (1 for 39) could claim a wicket as Kilgetty strolled to 132 for 1.
