Haverfordwest sealed their second early finish in a row as they demolished a disappointed Johnston side by nine wickets at Glebelands, took fewer than 16 overs to reach victory and then settled in for a pleasant post-match tea.Once again it was strike bowler Adam James who was helped by Simon Williams and Gareth Davies in bringing about Johnston’s demise before Simon Holliday and Ben Field took the town home as only the former batsman lost his wicket to Jack Mills but by then only seven runs were needed for victory and Holliday had rapped five fours and two sixes in his 46 runs.
James returned another impressive set of figures as he grabbed 5 for 35 alongside Williams (2 for 25), Davies (2 for 4) and Holliday (1 for 4) as only Steve Mills (four fours and a six in his 25) and Mikey Jones (14) managed double figures for the home side.
Holliday and Ben Field (four boundaries in his undefeated 29) then took Haverfordwest to 72 and Dai Davies came in, rapped a four first ball, was dropped off his second, took a single and then saw Field stroke a boundary to see The Town home before 4.15pm!

Lawrenny win easily at Llandigige Fawr
Llanrhian (89 all out) lost to Lawrenny (90 for 2) by 8 wickets

Llanrhian went into their home match against Lawrenny with something of a makeshift side and were made to pay the obvious price as they batted first, but could only muster a lowly 89 all out before Lawrenny’s greater batting power gave them victory in only 15.2 overs.Dafydd Williams (35) and skipper Paul Lewis (23) were the only Llanrhian batsmen whoever looked remotely settled and managed double figures as Lawrenny pace man Rob Williams steamed in to claim 5 for 16 in his ten overs, ably assisted by the slow stuff of Phil Cole (3 for 8) and Brad McDermott-Jenkins (2 for 9).
Steve Campbell (25 before he was bowled by Kevin Davies) and Harry Thomas (17 before he was run out) gave the visitors a solid start which was built on by Simon ‘Chief’ Cole (18 not out) and skipper Brad McDermott-Jenkins (26 not out) as only Davies (1 for 32) could manage a wicket for the basement team.

Hall and Davies take Carew to high-scoring win at Whitland
Whitland (209 for 9) lost to Carew (214 for 3) by 7 wickets

Superb undefeated innings by Brian Hall and Tom Davies helped Carew successfully chase down Narberth’s final score with such conviction that they reached their target of 210 for victory with 4.1 of their allotted overs in hand – and finished the game in style with a Davies six-hit!
Whitland’s decent final tally owed much to a boundary-sprinkled 47 from Paul Davies and a typically robust late 41 not out by Matthew ‘Titch’ Davies, with newcomer Will Spreadbury looking in good form for his 31 and with other cameos by Dylan Blain (17) and Jonathan Thomas (13), plus 12 apiece by Kevin Pearce and Gregg Sleep.
For Carew, the most successful bowlers were Sean Whitfield (3 for 48) and Ceri Brace, whose canny slow stuff earned him figures of 3 for 34, as Davies (1 for 55) was joined by talented teenagers Max Brindley (1 for 22) and Iori Hicks (1 for 26) in taking wickets.
Hall rapped nine fours and a six in his unbeaten 83 and he shared in a 93 partnership with skipper Rhys Davies (30) before he was joined by Tom Davies (six fours and that final six in his 53 not out) as Greg Sleep (1 for 32), Dan James (1 for 38) and Matthew Davies (1 for 34) were the only Whitland wicket-takers as Carew strolled to an important win!

Makeshift Tish pay price against Neyland
St Ishmaels (102 all out) lost to Neyland (104 for 5) by 5 wickets

Other commitments left St Ishmaels without a number of key players and Neyland made them pay the full price in an easy win for the visitors after they had asked Tish to bat first and reduced them to a low score of 1-2 all out at tea.Only Phil Cockburn (32), his father Robert (13) and Andrew Williams (18) ever stayed long against Patrick Hannon (3 for 26), Henry Durrant (3 for 32) and Scott Jones (2 for 27) as Tish were removed in only 36.5 overs.
To be fair to Tish they battled hard in the field and Dean John returned his best figures of the season with his 5 for 35 haul but steady innings from Nick Koomen (27), Ashley Sutton (18), Scott Jones (17) and Durrant (21 not out) finally saw Neyland home in their 24th over.

Cresselly’s powerful batting sets up another excellent win
Narberth (194 for 7) lost to Cresselly (200 for 4) by 6 wickets

There were runs galore at the Lewis Lloyd Ground as Narberth rattled up a useful score of 194 for 6 but current league leaders Cresselly unleashed some of their array of batting talent to such a degree that they still had six wickets and over four overs in hand as they finished the match in style with an Alex Bailey six!
16 year old Lewis Hough batted well for the home side with his top score of 48 alongside captain Ben Quartermaine (45), Jordan Howell (21) and Ritchie Adams (15) before wicketkeeper Shane Morgan produced a lively conclusion to their innings with five big sixes in his 36 not out.
Robbie Webb, Tom Arthur, Simon ‘Snowy’ Cole, Ryan Lewis and Ollie Richards all picked up a wicket apiece for a Cresselly side which bats in depth and set about reaching their target with gusto as Adam Chandler maintained his wonderful form with nine fours in his 56 and Phil Williams opened the innings with a classy 60 that included ten boundaries.
Geraint Davies (16 not out) and Bailey (undefeated on 29) saw Cresselly to the winning post as Ben Quartermaine (2 for 42), Ben Hughes (1 for 42) and Jordan Howell (1 for 62) were the only successful Narberth wicket-takers.
