Town take maximum-points victory at Spring Hill
Whitland (131 all out) lost to Haverfordwest (200 for 8) by 69 runs
Umpires: Steve Blowes & Allan Hansen
Scorers: Ann-Marie Jenkins & Jayne Cole
An excellent innings of 95 by in-form opener Simon Holliday helped Haverfordwest to victory by 69 runs against Whitland that earned The Town maximum bonus points at Spring Hill.
Holliday struck nine fours and two sixes but will be kicking himself that he didn’t manage the extra five runs before he was well caught by Will Spreadbury as part of Iestyn Scourfield’s 3 for 43 analysis.
Dan Cole (31), Dan Potter (18) and Adam James (a late 17 in six balls) helped propel Haverfordwest to 200 for 8 as Mark Lee (2 for 38), Matthew Davies (2 for 88) and Ben Harvey (1 for 24) were the other Whitland wicket-takers.
Nathan Evans led the home side’s response with 44 runs but only skipper Scourfield (22), Spreadbury (17) and Matthew Davies (17) ever stayed long against the pace of James (4 for 46) and the combined spin of Holliday (3 for 23) and Kieran O’Connor (3 for 24) as The Town won with runs and overs aplenty still in hand.

Dan Sutton was top score for Johnston with 66
Carew win well at Glebelands
Johnston (209 for 8) lost to Carew (213 for 4) by 6 wickets
Umpires: Denis Chiffi & Neil Croucher
Scorers: Natalie Thomas & Julie Davies
Carew proved too strong for Johnston at Glebelands and not only overcame some gritty opposition but also defied the weather after a break for rain must have tested their patience before a belligerent 59 (11 boundaries) by Tom Davies, saw them home despite useful bowling by Chris Fitzpatrick (2 for 52) and Jack Mills (2 for 27).
Dan Sutton found something like his best form as he top scored for Johnston with 66 (nine fours and two sixes), assisted by Mikey Jones (15), Steve Mills (36), Lee Summons (29) and Jack Mills (22), whilst Tom Davies (2 for 30), Max Brindley (2 for 46) and especially James Hinchliffe (4 for 69) were the pick of the Carew bowling attack as Carew set a target of 210 for Carew to chase.
Carew lost an early wicket after tea but then Tom and Nick Scourfield batted well in a partnership of 120 as they stood on 129 for 1 in 27 overs – but Tom Scourfield soon departed after the rain break for an excellent 63 (six fours and three sixes) and his namesake Nick contributed nine boundaries in his classy 53.
Brian Hall also chipped in with 15 before Tom Davies took over the reins and Carew were good value for their six-wicket success.
Rain holds up Cresselly charge
Llanrhian (20 for 2) v Cresselly (229 for 8) – match abandoned (rain)
Umpires: Les Hastings & Arthur Brady
Cresselly’s tally owed a great deal to in-form batsmen Adam Chandler (63) and Matthew Morgan (83), ably assisted by a late attacking 37 not out by Sam Harts that took his side past the 200 mark, despite the bowling efforts of Rhodri Owen (5 for 54) and Rhys Price (2 for 51).
Then Harts steamed in to claim an early 2 for 14 and Tom Dunn scored 10 not out for Llanrhian but then rain sadly brought about an early cessation of play.
Matthew Morgan - classy 83 in vain for Cresselly

Rain ruins interesting tussle at the Lewis Lloyd Ground
Narberth (53 for 3 in 18 overs) v Neyland (198 for 7) – match abandoned (rain)
Umpires: Dave Brandon & Dai Morris
Scorers: Emma Richards & John Laugharne
Scott John marked his return to action for Neyland with top score of 51 alongside other steady knocks from Nick Koomen (35), Ashley Sutton (23) and Gregg Miller (20), plus late unbeaten cameos by young players Luke Ryan (20) and Geraint Rees (16).
For Narberth, there were wickets for Lewis Hough (1 for 34), skipper Ben Quartermaine (2 for 49), Jordan Howell (1 for 44) and Kyle Quartermaine (1 for 20) as Ben Hughes also bowled well without any luck.
Narberth lost key batsman Ritchie Adams cheaply after tea to a return catch by Nick Koomen as part of his 2 for 24 haul alongside Patrick Bellerby (1 for 22) but although the umpires waited the mandatory hour after taking the teams off there was no let-up in the heavy drizzle and so the match was abandoned after 18 overs.

St Ishmaels (259 for 5) v Lawrenny (103 for 3) – Match abandoned (rain)
Umpires: John Williams & Robert Ridge
Scorers: Wendy Bradshaw & Malcolm Thomas
Tish showed what their batting power is like on a good day thanks to good innings by Peter Bradshaw (eight fours in his 41), Dan Howells (45), Phil Cockburn 37), Andrew Palmer (50 not out) and Andrew Williams (57 not out in only 24 balls, including four fours and five sixes.)
For Lawrenny, the best bowling figures came from Rob Williams (1 for 38), Jamie Lewis (1 for 69) and Phil Cole (1 for 51) as they were made to toil hard with Tish amassing a huge 259 for 5 wickets.
Harry Thomas stroked a nice 56 for Lawrenny but Andrew Pawlett took two good return catches in his 2 for 24 haul alongside Danny Flynn’s 1 for 29 as the visitors ended up on 103 for 3 when rain finally washed out play.
