Scorers: Nicola Murray and Cerys Griffiths
Umpires: Chris Stapleton and Phil Griffiths

Opener Jake Davies set the tone for Pembroke Dock as his century paved the way for Pembroke Dock to beat Burton.

Davies cracked 107, including 13 fours, as his team hit 270 for 5 and the visitors never looked in it as they fell to 105 all out.

Him and namesake Griffiths put on 83 for the opening stand, before the latter holed out to Dan Ridge off Luke Hayman for a blitzing 45, that included four fours and three sixes.

Further good knocks came from Scott Griffiths (15), George Smith (31), Nick Daley (18), and Tom Grimwood – whose 41 not out came off just 26 balls and included four fours and two sixes.

For Burton, Jack Davies took 2-52 and there was a wicket each for Dan Llewellyn, Morgan Scale, and Hayman.

Opener Toby Hayman top scored for 25 in the Burton reply, and there was a decent 27 from No 5 Matthew Webb (five fours), but the visitors were shot out inside 25 overs.

For The Dock, there were wickets for Nick Daley (3-36), Billy Wood (3-28), Rob Hearn (1-27), and Smith (2-12).

Bennett boys steer Herbie home

Herbrandston (94 for 4) beat Haverfordwest 2nds (93 all out)

Scorer: Natalie Thomas (Haverfordwest)

Paul ‘Pickles’ Nicholas took 4-33 before the Bennett boys set Herbie up to beat Haverfordwest 2nds.

The Town were put into bat and struggled, with only Ashoka (18), Nigel Morgan (10), and Ashley James (17) getting starts  - with extras (18) their joint top scorer in a total of 93 all out.

As well as Hood’s haul, Dean John took 2-10, Robert Hood 1-19, and Lee Marchant 3-9.

Herbie were in trouble early on as they fell to 5-2, as opener John was run out without scoring and Marchant (5) fell to Morgan, who took 1-4 in six economical overs.

But then came a stand of 83 between cousins ‘Jonty’ Bennett and Kristan. Jonty hit five fours in his 36 before being trapped LBW by Dean Flood, who then bowled Hood for a duck as he notched 2-4 in just four balls.

But off his fifth, Ben Aldred hit a first ball six to end the contest, leaving Kristan unbeaten on 33 (seven fours).

Jonathan jolts Hook hopes of a good start

Hook (175 all out) lost to Pembroke (261 for 5) by 91 runs

Jonathan Rogers hit one of the county’s best innings of the day as Pembroke had too much for Hook.

The visitors were put into bat, and Rogers indulged in it by smashing 152. There was also 60 from Jack Harries and despite Dai Hopkins (3-59),  Brennan Martin (1-26), Callum James (2-47), and Aled Phelps (1-57) all having wickets the total of 261-5 looked a huge one to chase.

And so it proved, despite Craig Nutty (52) and Seth Willington (38) carrying the fight for Hook.

But aside from that pair, only Jacob Lay (17) got going and Rob Smythe (2-28), Sam Davies (2-27),
Paul White (2-17), and Harries 2-32 took regular wickets as the hosts were all out for 175.

Pete McGilloway hit 37 for Lamphey

As well as the wickets from Mills, Matthew Kiff took 2-24 and Ollie Davies was clinical in taking 2-4.

Llangwm made light work of the chase, as opener Will Beresford was measured in his 26 not out, while Joe Kiff blasted 34 and Mills supported him as Llangwm started their mission to get back to Division 1 in style.
