Pembroke Dock wasted no time at all as they were thrilled to win by nine-wickets against disjointed bottom of the table Haverfordwest Seconds at The Racecourse.

The Town batted first, but it was bowler Rob Hearne who caused mayhem as he took an impressive five-wicket haul assisted by Billy Wood (2 for 8), Euan McDonald (1 for 4) and George Smith (1 for 17) as they destroyed the Town’s batting order, which limped to 50 all out.

Matthew Vaughan (13) and Nigel Morgan (12) were the only players to show any resistance with the bat for the hosts, the latter staying for 82 deliveries as he tried to stiffen his side’s resistance.

In reply the promotion-seeking Dock comfortably hit the required runs off in double quick time thanks to Jake Davies (22no) and Jake Griffiths (25).
