We pride ourselves on aiming to cover the whole sporting spectrum, with a special focus on our amazing disability sport, including boccia, rugby and cricket, plus the major successes from women and children, with recent articles on Helen Carrington in power lifting and talented young rugby players in our under 16 schools’ performance in the Dewar Shield.
We aim to provide at least one feature on a daily basis but we are not complacent and would welcome information on clubs or individuals doing well in minority sports, bearing in mind that we are just a two-man team, supported by a great web manager in Gary Hall, plus occasional articles from Fraser Watson and images from kind photographers like Matthew Kelly, of Raw Photography and William John, amongst others.
We would like to publicly thank our generous sponsors, the majority of whom have been with us for all of the 15 years since we set out, and all of whom are hugely involved in local sport in a range of ways.
Then there our regular voluntary contributors from a host of clubs in rugby, football and cricket, who provide the facts and figures that makes our Saturday results service the leader in its field because we also supply scorers – and articles on a Sunday as a result.
It is the same story in Indoor Cricket in these dark winter months, where EVERY game played has had a match report and plenty of pictures, something that no other media outlet has bothered to cover.
This week sees us pay our belated tribute to the Sport Pembrokeshire Awards, which we have been heavily involved in since their inception 18 years ago – and our only New Year’s Resolution is to try and continue to maintain our high standards and in return receive the huge numbers of ‘hits’ we reserve as our reward!
