As the season is fast drawing to a close there were only three matches played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League Fist Division on Saturday.
Second in the table Goodwick United were held to a 1-1 draw at Saundersfoot Sports. Geoff Marsh opened the scoring for the Sports, but the visitors equalised through Rhys Dalling, and now they will have to wait patiently to see whether 45 points is enough to hold on to the runners-up spot.
Last season’s champions Merlins Bridge lost 2-1 at Tenby. Sam Christopher scored both goals for the homesters to secure the points, as Matthew D’Ivry replied with the Bridge’s solitary goal.
Johnston gained a comfortable 4-1 victory at home over St Ishmaels. The Tigers’ goals were shared between Steve Mills, Luke Hayward, Martyn Tweedie and James Skudder. Adam Davies grabbed Tish’s only goal and they will be happy that have stayed in the division after being promoted last year.
