Bluebirds flying high at the top of First Division table

Narberth moved three points clear at the top of the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division after defeating Johnston 3-2 at home.

Tony Evans (2) and Morgan Preece bagged the important goals for The Bluebirds, whilst The Tigers are still awaiting their first win of the season, replied with goals from Nicky Woodrow and Luke Hayward.

Aaron Owens (2) and Michael Cooper found the back of the net for Hakin United, who moved into second spot after winning 3-1 at West Dragons. Johnny Horgan opened the scoring for The Dragons but it was the Vikings who had the last laugh.

Goodwick United slipped down to third after heavily losing to Tenby 4-1 at Phoenix Park. Jordan Richards (2), Billy Vaughan and Jerome Mansbridge netted for the visitors and Rhys Dalling scored his side’s solitary effort.

Fourth in the table Neyland drew 2-2 at home to Pennar Robins. Andrew Kemp and Sean Hannon scored and gave The Nomads a two-goal cushion, but Pennar struck back with goals from Luke Phillips and Phillip John to secure a point.

Goals by Daniel Bryce (2), Stephen McNabney and Peter Thomas earned Merlins Bridge a 4-3 victory at St Clears. In reply, Thomas Hughes, Josh Jones and Ynyr James netted for newly promoted Saints.

In the south county derby, Monkton Swifts edged a 3-2 victory  at Hundleton. Bagging goals for the Swifts were Dan Scourfield (2) and Ben Adams. Jason Donahue and Craig Manning netted for the homesters.

Bottom of the table St Ishmaels drew 2-2 at home with Saundersfoot Sports. Jack Palmer scored a brace for Tish whilst Chris Milward and Sam Butler found the back of the net for The Sports.
