Hakin United centre midfielder Steven Mathias is put under pressure by St Ishmaels' Gareth Cheshire
There was a full programme of seven matches in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division for the first time in a few weeks on Saturday.
Current league leaders Narberth won 3-2 at Saundersfoot Sports; this result kept them a point clear of second placed Hakin United. Matthew Price, Jordan Williams and an own goal sealed the points for the Bluebirds as Ryan Howells and Geoff Marsh netted for the unlucky homesters.
Reigning champions Hakin United secured a comfortable 4-1 victory at home against basement side St Ishmaels. Adam Davies, Steven Allen (penalty – he also had another penalty saved by Tish goalkeeper Jonathan Pawlett), Mike Cooper, James Stanmore netted for the Vikings and Gareth Cheshire got the visitors’ solitary goal.
Goodwick United were good value for their 3-1 victory at home against Merlins Bridge. Goodwick moved up to third in the table following goals from Jac Pepper, James Evans (penalty) and Rhys Dalling, with Steve McNabney scoring for the Wizards.
Title chasers Johnston and Tenby drew 1-1 at the Glebelands Ground. Sam Christopher gave the visitors the lead that was cancelled out by Mark Jones' equaliser.
Danny Peters and Steve Thomas both scored headers that earned St Clears an important 2-0 victory at Neyland.
Nathan Patterson scored the only goal in Pennar Robins 1-0 derby victory at shell shocked Monkton Swifts.
Brothers Jamie Palmer and Lee Palmer bagged the goals in West Dragons’ slender 2-1 victory at home against Hundleton. Thomas Powell scored Hundleton’s only goal in a match they felt they should have got something out of it.
