St Ishmaels won for the first time this season as just four games were played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division.

Tish came from behind to defeat St Clears 3-1 at home. Nick Squire gave the visitors the lead, but the homesters hit back with winning goals from Gareth Cheshire, Paul Palmer and Joseph Bate. This excellent result saw Tish leap-frog Hundleton off the bottom of the table.

Neyland gained a surprise 4-1 victory at Monkton Swifts, scoring for the Nomads were Wayne Parry, Patrick Bellerby, Paul Hannon and Mike Chandler. James Russell scored the Swifts’ only goal as they slipped down to eighth in the table.

Merlins Bridge won 3-0 at home against Saundersfoot Sports, Peter Thomas scored twice from the spot alongside an excellent Nathan Greene strike.

West Dragons got the biggest win of the afternoon, humiliating Pennar Robins 9-1 at The Pavilion Ground. Leading the goals rout was Bradley Barrett with four and Jonny Horgan (3) and Scott Crawford (2) bagged the other goals. Nathan Patterson scored the visitors’ only goal of a game that they will want to forget.
