Under-13s West Wales Cup final:

Pontardawe 1 - Hakin United 1 (Hakin won 4-1 on penalties)

Hakin United have been crowned West Wales champions at under-13 level after a penalty shoot out win against Pontardawe.

The young Vikings fell behind to their Swansea based opponents, but soon levelled when Jack Wilson pounced on a loose clearance to fire home.

Both teams had chances to win it as the contest ebbed and flowed, but with no further scoring in normal, or extra time, the game went to penalties.

Keeper Jack a real hero

Ben Fawcett, Camron Thomas, Jack Wilson and Alexander Mason all made no mistake from the spot, and Hakin keeper Jack Ackerman sealed victory with two brilliant saves from Pontardawe penalties.

Skipper Camron Thomas was then able to lift the trophy and the young Vikings could celebrate a dramatic win.

They can now add this prestigious trophy to their Pembrokeshire League title, where they played 22 games, and won every single one, scoring a remarkable 293 goals and conceding just 12.
