The Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League returned to Division One action with plenty of goals as local teams have been involved in cup ties for the previous two weeks.
Starting at the top of the table with Hakin United who gained a convincing 5-0 victory at home against Narberth. Nicky Woodrow, Andrew Kingston, Stevie Mathias, Justin ‘Skinny’ Harding and Ashley Bevan netted for the high-flying champions.
Pennar Robins emphatically defeated West Dragons 8-0 at home, the biggest winning margin in the top flight. James Russell (2), Ben Steele (2), Adam John, Carl Rees, Phil Thompson and Jimmy Walker scored for the homesters.
An own goal and a Steve Thomas header earned St Clears a 2-0 victory at home against Herbrandston.
Two goals in the second half by Stephen McNabney and Lee Hudgell secured a 2-0 victory for Merlins Bridge at Monkton Swifts.
Goodwick United gained a crucial 4-2 victory at Tenby with Rhys Dalling (2), Jonny Horgan and Rob Morgans scoring the vital goals for the visitors, whilst Joe Leahy and Darryl Mansbridge scored for the disappointed Seasiders.
Angle came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw at home against Saundersfoot Sports. Chris Millward gave the visitors the lead, and Sports keeper Ben Evans saved a spot-kick by Angle’s Chris Richards, but he could not deny Chris’s brother who Scott who levelled matters with a successful second penalty.
Johnston drew 1-1 with close rivals Neyland. Leigh Power gave the Nomads the lead, but his effort was cancelled out by a well struck shot by Steven Mills.
