Champions beaten and Narberth reach last eight of West Wales Cup

There were some cracking games played in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division.

The shock result of the afternoon was at the Obs where champions Hakin United lost 1-2 against Tenby. Richard Champions beaten and Narberth reach last eight of West Wales CupPerry gave the visitors the lead before Nicky Woodrow equalised with a penalty, but ten minutes from full time Daryl Mansbridge toe-poked home the winner. The Seasiders won 3-2 at the Clicketts earlier in the season, and are delighted that they have completed the league double over the Vikings.

Johnston lost 0-5 at home against arch rivals Merlins Bridge. Stephen McNabney, Luke Hayward, Nathan Thomas, Scott Crawford and Nathan Greene scored for the visitors.

In the bottom end of the table clash, Monkton Swifts won 3-2 at home against West Dragons. Liam Butland scored a brilliant hat-trick for the Swifts, and Jordan Thomas scored a brace for the Dragons.

Pennar Robins lost 1-3 at home against Herbrandston, the visitors’ goal-hero was striker Scott Reid who cracked a superb hat-trick with Ross Lascelles scoring the Robins’ solitary goal.

Bottom of the table Saundersfoot Sports lost 1-3 at home against Angle. Chris Richards, Craig Brockway and Connor Willis scored for the visitors and Richard Cope netted for the poor Sports.

St Clears drew 2-2 at home against Neyland, Steve Thomas and Sean Seymour Davies netted for the Saints, the Nomads replied with a brace from Mikey Chandler.

Narberth have reached the quarter final stage of the West Wales Intermediate Cup, winning 0-2 at Swansea League Treobeth United. Bagging the goals for the Bluebirds were Jordan Williams and player manager Matthew Price.

Goodwick United agonisingly lost their cup-tie 3-2 in extra time at Carmarthenshire Premier Evans & Williams.
